Excellent fitness room and service
Jennifer Dec 10, 2009
I received excellent service from the moment I checked in. I wanted access to their fitness room. They suggestedI join their ... "Omni Select" Club so that the fitness room and Wifi would be free throughout my stay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel lobby was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The best part of the hotel - the fitness room. State of the art ellipticals and treadmills with TV/radio/CD/DVD/mp3 access with free headphones to use. The only thing I missed - they only have an outdoor pool. Too cold for December. The Chicken stir-fry from room service was very expensive, but was the BEST I have ever eaten. I would purchase it again.

Murphy's Irish Pub is a friendly, cozy bar with reasonably priced food and numerous TVs so you can watch sports. Is just around the corner from the hotel, The next street over is Conneticut which is an entire block of restaurants. The Metro stop is close by. The park which I never was able to get to looked very pretty, with a jogging trail in a very forest like setting.

For some reason ESPN was scrambled on my room TV (not good during football season) It would have been nice to have a list of ... hotel services in the room. For instance is there a fitness room? pool? I really would have liked a microwave. I spent a lot of money for this trip and wanted to save money where I could. The staff was very very nice. I had bought some beer that I couldn't get here. Since I didn't have a bottle opener I ended up taking the bottles to the bar to have them opened. Staff didn't mind

Nice hotel, bad for perfume allergies
Business traveler Nov 16, 2009
This is a lovely hotel with great views of Rock Creek Park, convenience to wonderful inexpensive places to eat, and a very ... nice fitness center. This is the second time I've stayed there for a conference and my only problem is that they use a floral perfume in the carpets (and possibly in the vents) to which I am allergic. Last year it was worse, and I missed half a day of the conference because I was wheezing and lost my voice. They seem to use less this year.

Wonderful Place To Stay
William K. Nov 11, 2009
We traveled to Washington, D.C. for the first time and chose the Omni as a place to stay. It was fantastic! A beautiful ... hotel in a great location with many restaurants, close to the Metro and the national zoo as well as Washington National Cathedral. The concierge at the hotel booked us a night tour of D.C. the first night we were there and it was wonderful. The lobby is beautiful and very comfortable, the staff very polite and attentive. The room we chose was a queen size bed with a lovely bathroom. The housekeeping staff was very attentive. We were able to get to the Capitol, the National Mall and the Smithsonian very quickly as we were close to a Metro station. Well worth the stay and located in a lovely section of D.C.

Took the Super Shuttle from Dulles International Airport to hotel for $29 and $10 for second person saving money over/taxi. Reagan National Airport would have been closer. Great Location for the Price
Rodney Oct 19, 2009
Great hotel. A little far away from the Mall area which is where most of your time is spent if you are sightseeing. The ... rooms are not very quiet and you could hear everything through the doors as people moved down the hall at all hours. We even had an incident after being out all day and the cleaning folks left our door cracked and not fully closed. A little scary but all of our things were intact. Overall, though, it was a very nice hotel for the price and the staff were very helpful and nice.

Good location, big room
bklynlady Oct 19, 2009
The hotel was well-located - about a block away from the subway and quite close to Kalorama and Adams Morgan. Cabs were also ... readily available outside and it's only a 15 minute trip to Reagan airport. For the price, it was pretty great. I only have 2 complaints: (1) upon entering the shower, there were strands of someone else's blonde hair on the wall! It would be easy enough to miss when cleaning, but it was kind of gross. Otherwise, the room was spotless. (2) the heater/ac unit was extremely loud

Chuck and Will Oct 18, 2009
We arrived late, and our room was not what we had desired. Additionally, the water system was down. I voiced my ... dissatisfaction. They went out of their way to correct the problem. The room was changed the next day. The staff, under pressure, handled it very professionally. I was impressed. I am very particular about hotels. They salvaged my initial impression, and we had a great stay.
