Not up to snuff
Jon Oct 26, 2009
This hotel does everything too cheaply--the towels are small and thin and you just get two. The shampoo is hardly enough for ... two people. There are no coffeee cups, plates, or utensils to accompany the small microwave and refrigerator. Not even a hair dryer or a Do Not Distrurb sign. When we put up our own until 1:00 PM, it took three calls to get the room serviced.

We had a wonderful trip, the location of the hotel was prime and the staff was very friendly. The hotel in general was a ... great value and they were extremely pet friendly, which is hard to find these days.

Very noisy-walls super thin. Had problems w/guest next to me. The staff did take care of problem however. You can hear people ... talking or phone ringing. Also carpet very dirty. Walked around in flip flops. My white socks were black after one night of walking around. The facet was also loose. No water pressure in shower.

Price vs Value
Jerod May 25, 2009
I ended up getting a room here for Memorial Day, and got a pretty good rate. However, the hotel itself left much to be ... desired. It was pretty noisy outside of the rooms. The room had a humidity problem (the carpet felt damp at all times and some food that we had brought became a bit soggy after just a few hours), and the A/C died during the second night. Housekeeping took our towels and washcloths, but failed to replace them with new ones. I also found the bed uncomfortable, but it may have been more related to the room's temperature problems. I know that you get what you pay for, but you wouldn't buy a cheap brand of peanut butter and be okay with finding a toenail in it. There's a line between economy and just cheap, and I feel like the hotel jumped right over it. The one good thing that it did have going for it is that it was very close to downtown Charleston, and the front desk was able to give us some coupons for the local dining, which was fantastic. The trip itself was great, hotel excluded. I spent most of my drive home planning my next trip. I just think next time I will bite the bullet and splurge on a better hotel.

Great WkEnd Getaway at a Reasonable $$$
Becky May 2, 2009
We went for a quick weekend and found the price right for the little time we wanted to spend in the room. We were impressed ... with the friendly staff, and the location to Charleston was perfect for us. The money we saved in the rate was great in comparison to everything else we could find. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

We found everything within a short drive that we wanted to see...including the drive to attractions and restaurants. We ate at California Dreaming twice and loved the food and atmosphere. We will go back again to Charleston and to Red Roof.

Very clean; looks new
Dom Dec 5, 2008
A quick drive across the bridge into downtown. Some heavy traffic in the morning, but well worth the cost savings. Room was ... immaculate! Easy check in. I was very satisfied. They might benefit from better signage as the hotel is hidden off the main road a bit. Would be a shame if they lost business because of this.

The Red Roof Inn Mount Pleasant is literally less than a 10 minute drive from historic Charleston although they need better ... signage (I had a little trouble finding it because it is behind a gas station). The room was incredibly clean, and the bed was enormous! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stay here again!

Cathy Oct 5, 2008
The Red Roof Inn was fine for our needs since we stayed very little in our room. It would have been nice to have a coffee ... maker in the room or at least the cups for the coffee in the lobby needed to be bigger. I liked being neat the bridge for walking in the mornings. Overall, it was clean ane the staff was friendly.

This hotel stay got the job done
Christina Sep 27, 2008
This Red Roof Inn was the hotel that offered what we were looking for. A place to sleep for the night that was ok. The room ... was comfortable for our one night stay, though we noticed that a couple of the previous guest's washcloths and hand towels weren't removed and changed out. There were noisy people walking outside our room later in the night, but overall the stay was ok.

Great Budget Hotel in Great Location!!
Uwe Aug 20, 2008
We have had great experiences everytime we stay here. The location is perfect, right in between the beach and downtown (5 ... min. each way) and the hotel is ideal! The rooms are nicely updated and the staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean and hotel sits next to a lovely pond and residential community. For saving some money while still having a great time, this hotel is our favorite!

good location, but not clean
Pamela Jun 28, 2008
We were checked into a room that the toilet had not been cleaned and was filthy, so we were changed to another room, the ... bathroom floor had not been swept and the carpet had not been vacumed in the new room - no other rooms were available and we were told housekeeping was gone. The next day housekeeping did a good job cleaning our room and we decided to stay. That night teenagers pulled the fire alarm twice, you would of thought they would of been evicted after the 1st time, (the front office knew who pulled the alarm) I had to call the desk at 4:00 a.m. because the same teenagers were running up and down the walkway being very loud, the night person did come down and tell them to get in their room, but our rest for the night was already ruined. After the 1st day we had to ask for our towels and our room was not cleaned.
