they did a decent job in spite of not being all that friendly. the price is right, the location is a bit remote. the room ... was in decent condition altho far from pristine. we did encounter a cockroach in the room which was unsettling. i always got the sense that they were unhappy so i wouldn't rush to return there.

August at Luxury Inn-Santa Fe
akcarlg Aug 31, 2009
We went to numerous concerts, museums, and festivals. This was on the main highway into town and only a short distance from ... the interstate. Easy to find. The down side is that it is on the edge of town and downtown or Santa Fe Opera is a bit of a drive. A car is an abolute must. Santa Fe is 400 years old and is not laid out on an easy-to-understand grid so take good maps. Summer is quite nice and much cooler than most people imagine, but air-conditioning is a must. This isn't fancy, but the price is very competitive. The rooms were clean and quiet, the free breakfast was decent, and decent pool. For the price, you can't go wrong.

We booked one night and decided to stay a second which we booked on line. They had us check out by 11 and recheck in to a ... new room at 4. They wouldn't "watch our stuff" so we had to pack it in the car for the day. Ridiculous.

Luxury Inn Santa Fe
Transplant May 17, 2009
It had been nearly ten years since I stayed at this location. Not much has changed. It was relatively clean, quiet and ... inexpensive. There has been a lot of commercial development in the area since my last stay. That just means there are more restaurants and other stores within walking distance. Convenient.

What I appreciated most of all was the "welcome basket." It was great to have samples of quality lotions, drink mixes, and ... headache med. I would have liked to have a coffee maker in the room. But the breakfast was nicely set. The area directory was helpful to find a great restaruant-"The Plaza Cafe" was great!

My review of Luxury Inn
Maria Aug 3, 2008
The Luxury Inn in Santa Fe was very comfortable. I liked the free continental breakfast. I got a very spacious room and ... everthing was in working order (the iron, hairdrier, etc...). The staff was very nice and helpful. My only suggestions would be that the pool could be open earlier and be a little cleaner, the carpet in the hallway on the first floor was dirty, it could use a cleaning. Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. My husband absoulutely loved the hotel and we would definitely stay there again.

I didn't expect alot, so I wasn't let down. Nothing particularly wrong, just not exactly Luxurious accomodations. One ... thing in particular that I will note: Parking was difficult, as in, there were zero spots. The live-in manager was nice enough to move his own car to give me a spot however, so they get points for that.

My review of Luxury Inn
Cathy Jul 10, 2007
*The Luxury Inn was comfortable. Maids did not speak English. People responded quickly when buzzer was rung at front desk. ... Problems with door upon entry to room, had card checked, but door seemed to have a problem with opening. Most times used card 4 to 5 times before able to open. Even when the front desk informed me to lift handle instead of pushing down. Breakfasts were adequate. Coffee and juice great! Room tidy and neat. Quite adequate!
