Great Hotel in Great Location
Couple enjoying South Beach Nov 25, 2009
Great Location on South Beach/ Ocean Drive across from the beach. We had a great time on out trip. We parked in a garage ... (expect to pay for parking everywhere- about $20 every 24 hours) and walked everywhere. The hotel was very clean and the customer service was great. I liked that they included breakfast and then snacks during the day. The shower was nice and warm, they had nice vanity mirrors, the view from our room was great over the ocean, and we felt very comfortable. They also included beach towels to use, beach chairs, and $5 off at the bar. There is just under a $8 mandatory charge for all these services. I liked how they opened the doors for you as you exited and entered. We would stay here again in the future.

Great location and great atmosphere
E on a needed get-away Nov 23, 2009
The hotel was great. The atmosphere generated from the staff, space and location made an terrific experience. The ... continental breakfast was wonderful addition, this caused the guests to mingle and interact with each other. The hotel was close to everything, beach, ocean and lincoln drives...shopping, partying, relaxing. My only issue was I stayed in the last sleeping room and the internet signal faded out. But this was a plus for me...unable to check work email. But I asked others who had computers and they had no issues with the complimentary internet signal in their rooms...

Blue Moon Hotel Review
Sexy Babe Jul 29, 2009
We were originally booked at the Winterhaven hotel when we arrived there were no more rooms available at this hotel. We were ... then upgraded to a suite at the Blue Moon Hotel, which was much nicer and cleaner than the Winterhaven Hotel. The Blue Moon hotel is an excellent location for couple and families because it is just one block away from the beach and near all the action but quiet.

Good Experience
Yankee Fan Jul 4, 2009
My wife and I were here for 3 days scoping out the city thinking if we should relocate to Miami. Since we were going to ... Miami, decided to stay close to the beach. The location is great if you want proximity to beach, restaurants, bars and party life. If you have kids with you this may not be for you. The rooms are small, but from the looks of every hotel in the area, those are too. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is an issue in the whole Miami beach area. If you plan to explore outside of Miami beach area and rent a car, be prepared to pay $30 or more for parking. All restaurants in the surrounding area are expensive so be prepared. Everything is walking distance. Beach--across the street. Bars--all over. Clubs--3 or 4 blocks away. Some people may find it noisy but hey you are in the middle of Miami, what do you expect? Bars close at 5 am so there are always people and cars going around. If you are planning to just sleep in the hotel and be out and about most of the day. This place is great. If you like to hang in the hotel room in bed a lot watching tv, this may not be your cup of tea. The shower is for one person and the water pressure is low. This is not a complaint for me just letting people know. Personally my wife and I liked it and would stay here again.

Terrific staff
Leah Sep 27, 2007
The staff at the Winterhaven Hotel were very courteous and friendly. The check-in process was handled efficiently and we were ... informed up front about the $7.50 daily charge that included 2 drinks, use of beach chairs, continental breakfast, and afternoon snack. The room was small, as to be expected with art deco hotels. My only complaint was that the air conditioner was quite loud and made falling asleep a challenge. The front patio was perfect for people watching.

Great location, small room
Michael Aug 17, 2007
The hotel was in a great location. Very close to the beach and many dining options nearby. No pool. Pretty small room, but ... kind of nice. We were told at check-in that we had a partial oceanview. They neglected to tell us that you could only partially see the ocean if you pressed your head hard against the glass.

RELAXATION & SUN

I stayed at WH for the first time and was pleased. It is walking distance from EVERYTHING and it is right on the beach. It ... has a nice front porch where you can sit and relax, they had no pool but I knew that going in. The hotel staff were very friendly and always kept our room clean. I recommend the WH and would stay again.

Keep an Eye on Your Valuables!!!!
John Mark Jun 7, 2007
While staying at the hotel a bag of Hard Rock Cafe shirts was taken from the hotel room. It was there before the cleaning ... crew came in, it was gone after they left. After realizing the bag was missing, the hotel staff did not want to believe that the cleaning crew took the bag from our room. We had to call the police, file a report, then go back to the hotel staff with the report before they would even think about investigating the incident. So far, it has been a week since we came back from vacation and we have not heard from the hotel.
