Great Lobby
traveler Sep 18, 2009
Our room was on the 16th floor, no view, and the previous stay was on the 24th floor that had been renovated and was nicer, ... with a view. There also was no refrigerator with the usual amenities in this room. Lighting in bathroom was terrible. A great lobby with substantial seating and the service is very good in all departments we encountered. A bit pricey for the ambiance of the room, however.

We were easily upgraded to a larger room with a better view without hassle. Concierge was great and location was top-rate. ... Comfortable hotel transport to and from airport at reasonable prices. Bathrooms were a bit moldy in the shower and slow service in the bar/restaurant. Overall, a nice place to stay in NYC.

Excellent romantic birthday getaway
Forever 80's Girl Aug 3, 2009
The staff at the hotel were excellent. They answered any questions and helped us out with nightlife. While I was there I was ... celebrating my birthday. They made it very special for me by sending up to our room a tray with cheese, crackers, pecan nuts and a spread with Fiji water. Then later on we went to the lounge the drinks were delicious. The tray with cheeses, olives salami, prosuitto, and suppressotta were so good no fat to the meat. They also sent over a piece of cheesecake for my birthday. The room was so clean and very nice.We however did not have dinner in the hotel. The breakfast buffet on Sunday was so good.Next time we are in NYC will definetly have dinner in the hotel. They have valet service which I highly recommend. The valet service people were excellent. When leaving we called and they had the car ready and waiting for us. The hotel is next door to Grand Central station which has eateries and a restaurant. We ate in the restaurant which I have never seen in my life so many entree choices and beverage choices and the wine list was extensive. The food was very good. The drinks were good. Very close to Times Square.I cannot wait to go back and bring my children. I highly recommend this hotel. It is a must when visiting the Times Square area.We wished we had a longer stay.We only did an overnighter because time only permitted that.We did not want to leave.
