Nice hotel, didn't care for the excessive parking fee or the fact that there was no view of the Statue of Liberty as ... advertised. A very friendly and helpfull staff though with a nice walkway along the Hudson river.

Incredible noise levels from an event!!

we stayed on the 6th floor. there was a wedding on the 9th floor and the rhythmic drumming and singing nearly knocked us out ... of our beds from 8:00 p.m. until management finally moved us two and a half hours later. It was impossible to sleep - it was one of the most miserable hotel experiences we have ever had. Cleanliness of the room rugs in both rooms also far below minimal expectations. we were so very disappointed.

PATH is right next door. Cost was $1.75 one way.

New York city and Hoboken are less than 15min away. You can either drive your car to either place or take a cab, or even take the path trains that are right outside to either spot.So if you want to go out for drinks, dinner, or lounges/clubs, this would be a perfect location.

Wonderful place to stay
Cheryl Sep 20, 2009
We stayed here for our 5th wedding anniversary and loved it! It is right next door to PATH which gets you into NYC at the ... World Trade Center in five minutes. From there it is a short walk to catch any NY subway. I don't think the location can be beat - right on the water. We had a view of the Empire State Building at night. We came back on the PATH at 1am and felt safe and secure the entire time. The room was beautiful, very updated and modern looking. We also arrived early and were able to get into our room early, which was awesome. The staff was great! The one thing we didn't like was parking fees. It was $32 to park for the night. Then the next day we spent in NYC again, we came back to get our car out of Valet (the only parking option) and were charged another $25 because it was after 5:00pm. I thought that was a little excessive.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Location was superb. Very close to mono-rail, restaurants and night life. Great views of ... Manhattan from the hotel and a very nice boardwalk near hotel. Only downside was that the room was a bit small and shower was just average.

Gorgeous Hotel
Genius12 Aug 13, 2009
While my boyfriend and I were staying at the Hyatt, we mainly stayed in the room. We had ordered room service and the food ... came promptly and was very nicely decorated on the table. The room itself was beautiful. Large comfy king size bed, very clean bathroom, decent view of the new york skyline and nice huge flat screen tv. The hotel itself was gorgeous and I regret not gonig to the swimming pool and fitness center because they were probably well worth the time. All in all, I could not have asked for better in a hotel, and I am definitely going to be going there again.

Great location with a view
World Traveler Jun 30, 2009
Right on the Hudson with a fantastic view of the Manhattan skyline this is a first rate hotel at a much better price than ... similar properties in NY. Right next to the hotel is the path train, which can take you to all the hustle and bustle in no time. I will definitely stay here again when visiting New York City.

Buy a seven day unlimited path train pass as well as one for the NY subway system if you stay for three days or longer. It'll get you almost anywhere for the least amount of money.

New York experiance
Diana Apr 22, 2009
The hotel was very nice and a beautiful view on NYC. The only problem we had was getting meals outside of the hotel. The ... whole area closes down on the weekend, and the hotel food is just to expensive. We did find a diner around the corner that had a great breakfast. There was also no convience stores with in walking distance that were open on the weekends. So bring everything in with you or take the PATH train to New York. During the week days there seems to be no problems in this area.

Close to Manhattan and yet great parking!
William Aug 26, 2008
I wanted a place to which I could drive easily and park and have convenient access to Manhattan. This hotel has a fantastic ... view of everything from Statue of Liberty to the Manhattan skyline and affords excellent access to either PATH train to Manhattan or water taxi. And Jersey City neighborhood is looking spiffy as well.

Great Location

This hotel was nicely maintained and was located next to the PATH station. There were a few restaurants close but we did not ... spend much time on the Jersey side. I was disappointed with the pricing in the hotel restaurant and actually got up and left and found a nice hometown cafe. It is built on a pier and had a great view of Manhatten Island. It was a great great place to watch the fireworks from. I would recommend this hotel as it was very clean and had friendly staff.

Great Hotel For any Type Of Person or Family
Kurt Jun 16, 2007
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency On the Hudson River in Jersey City. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the ... cost of parking. $32.00 a night for parking is insane and that should be included in the price of the hotel for how expensive that was to. As for the hotel itself, it was one of the nicest i've ever been to and the loacation was even better. All in all I give this hotel a thumbs up.

Business Stay
James May 20, 2007
This hotel is very conveniently located next to a PATH subway station (one stop to WTC in NY city). I was traveling on the ... weekend for business in NY city and most of the guests at this hotel were there for weddings and proms. The room was very nice however not fully cleaned (found some items in one of the drawers left over from the prior guest). The location has some great views of the city however there is not much nearby (restaurants, etc.) unless you are there during the daytime.
