Good deal well located

We visit Seattle routinely for medical care for my son. This is a well located hotel in a nice neighborhood. Easy walking ... to lots of reasonably priced and eclectic restaurants and shops to take your mind off the purpose of your visit. Clean hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast, very reasonable prices, clean rooms, internet, secure covered parking. This was our second visit, we will always go back.

Very Impressed for the Price
Happy Canadian May 2, 2009
Arrived around 4:30 pm, late check-in was no problem at all. Had advised hotel we'd be late due to border crossing. Managed ... to lose my key card within minutes of checking in. Front desk easily changed the code, then my friends card when we figured out that she couldn't get in the room. Room was a pleasant surprise. Nicely updated, two queen beds, extraordinarily comfortable pillows. Bathroom was quite roomy and liked the style of the built in shower surround. Rounded curtain rod created a nice design taste and gave occupant in the shower more space. One touch for the future could be a dimmer switch on the main light. With the mirror it's quite bright in the morning! Room overlooked a busy street so would ask for opposite side next time. Liked having a fridge to keep extra food cold. Microwave was a nice idea for those staying more than one day. Ideal location, just a few blocks from Seattle Centre where we were participating in the World Rhythm Festival. Believe me, you don't want to pack a drum, change of clothes and purse very far. Very handy to have the hotel close by in case either one of us wanted to crash as the festival can be a bit tiring. Breakfast was a nice surprise. Loved the waffle maker. Some of the fare was too sweet for my taste, but there was fresh fruit, whole wheat bread and yogourt. Not bad, if you're trying to be healthy. Really liked the sausage patty. Would've been nice to have a choice of herbal teas for my friend, but hey, it's a budget hotel. Courtyard was a pleasant surprise. Nice for singles to look out and not feel self-conscious. Leaving car in the covered garage was no problem on the Sunday we checked out. No extra charge for that or parking, and in Seattle, parking can be expensive. Front desk staff was helpful, recommended a great Thai place two blocks away. Would definitely come back next year and stay there again. Keep up the good work!

Had a friendly staff, rooms we're nice but nothing fancy. The only problem seemed to be the heater/air-conditioner, which ... only pumped out heat when you set the tempature to 80 and above,(discovered that in the morning)so we were cold all night!(Extra blankets in the room would have been nice!)Nice place for a overnighter in Downtown Seattle though!

Great hotel and value
Chris Sep 29, 2008
The Comfort Suites was a enjoyable place to stay. It is a little difficult to get to if you are on the other side of the ... highway. WA-99 has a barrier running down the middle of it, and Roy St dead ends into it. I could see the hotel on the other side but had to drive North on WA-99 for a few miles before I found a turn around, and back a few miles. After a few times of driving there you will get the hang of it. They have a great breakfast (get to make your own waffles!). The Space Needle is within walking distance, but since I have been to Seattle a few times already, I did not try the walk. Staff is friendly and rooms very clean. Overall a good place to stay.

Value for downtown seattle
Chris Jul 8, 2008
Great value for the location. Although the hotel was in a strange location it was an easy walk to the space needle as well as ... the rest of downtown seattle and pike place market. We also enjoyed that their was a local grocery store within a minutes walking distance. The rooms were clean and a decent size, the only complaint we might have had was their was no pool.

The Comfort Suites Downtown/Seattle Center was exactly what we were looking for: great location, within a walking distance to ... major attractions, comfortable room and bed, generous breakfast and a decent gym. Will definitely visit again. One comment will be that the towels were changed every day, even if we did not ask for it. It would be nice to be greener and keep using the same towels until they require changing.

Nice place for the money
Meagan Mar 21, 2008
We stayed here for 3 nights on our trip to Seattle and it was a very nice stay. The breakfast was good... only downside was ... it was VERY crowded and hard to get a table... The staff was very nice as well. The shuttle that is free to the guests was a nice addition to our stay as well. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and clean. The only downside was no pool, but that wouldn't change us staying there again.
Traveler type: Family
There are not many food choices within a few blocks... we walked several blocks for breakfast one morning... so if you are wanting to stay close to a lot of restaurants this isnt the best location. Close walk to the Space Needle.

Good location
Juanita Jun 27, 2007
This hotel was located in a pretty central location to most of the areas of interest. They provide a very nice continental ... breakfast (including waffles). Unlike most hotels, the staff checks the food often to ensure there is plenty available and does not rush to cut off the breakfast at exactly 9:30, instead they wait until all the guests have cleared the dining area before removing the breakfast foods. Even with the breakfast the price for the hotel is too high. We were shocked to open the door to such a tiny room. There was an odor of smoke and mold in the room. We stayed for seven days and had to endure a cold shower one morning on a cold day because of some maintenance problems that took a few hours to fix. Overall the stay was not too bad but I won?t be choosing this hotel in the future.

hidden gem
Giselle Jun 26, 2007
The main thing that I liked about the hotel was the location. While it was surprisingly close to some great small ... neighborhoods, a great grocery store, the Space Needle and downtown, it was in an out of the way location, a safe neighborhood, and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very spacious. The beds were comfortable, even the sofa bed that my daughter slept on. The carpet could use some replacement but the other furniture was fine. The hotel staff were all friendly and willing to assist. I thought that the price was appropriate for the quality received and I would stay there again.

There is a great neighborhood west of the hotel a couple of blocks that featured restaurants, a great grocery store and fun shops. The Space Needle and the other facilities in that location are a short walk away to the Southwest.

Horrible Hotel
James Jun 18, 2007
This hotel wasn?t anything like I expected. This was my first time in Seattle so I wanted something close to the attractions. ... This was close to the Space Needle, but the area and hotel was dilapidated. The hotel has a fence around it like a prison and trashy lots all around. Inside the room bedding looked soiled and the carpet dingy. The free internet couldn?t be used, hotel staff couldn?t help and the 24 hour help line keep telling me I had to pay for service to connect.

Great Location - Seattle City Center
Karlene May 20, 2007
The Comfort Suites Downtown/Seattle Center was centrally located and reasonably priced for compared to other hotels in the ... area. It was within walking distance to many of the local attractions and access was easy. Parking was secure and the rooms were adequate. My only complaint was that we were unable to get our room cleaned during our stay -- housekeeping was not on top of things; very poor service for a hotel. We were there 3 nights despite repeated requests for maid service, it did not happen.

My review of Comfort Suites Downtown/Seattle Center
Dennis Apr 29, 2007
I would not choose this hotel again. My first room smelled of urine and I arrived too late to get it changed the first ... night. The staff was very accommodating when I requested another room, so I have no complaints there. While the location seemed convenient on a map, actual driving directions were very complicated and I literally drove around for an hour, even after stopping at another hotel for directions, trying to access the entry to the hotel. Perhaps it was the direction I was coming from, but it never got easier to get to, no matter how many times I was traveling back onto the property. The second room was okay. I don't believe the value was there overall.

close to lots of stuff and includes parking and breakfast!
christine Apr 25, 2007
Because it is located so close to all things downtown, this hotel can't be beat as it includes parking in a garage and ... breakfast every morning. If staying a long time, the breakfast can get old, and hard-boiled eggs and sausage patties are the only protein on the menu. There are also yogurts, bananas, apples, breads, bagels, blueberry muffins, cereals, milk, juices, coffee (very good, too), and make-yourself waffles. From here, walk to space needle, experience-music project, pacific science center, harbor cruises, Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, and anything downtown. Absolutely don't miss the Seattle Public Library and the Underground Tour. This hotel room does have a microwave oven and small fridge in the room, and a coin-op laundry on each floor, which really helps if you stay a week, as you can pack less. Still, the room is fairly small. Cleaning service each day did a great job. Hotel staff leaves you alone completely. It feels motel like, but in a hotel setting. No frills. Also note that there is a Hampton Inn on same block. If you add up charges for parking and breakfast that will not be included in most hotels, you will see what a savings this place provides. Parking is costly anywhere in this area, so hop the bus or trolley when you get tired of walking. The bus is free in a certain zone of downtown, too, so you can ride for free if you just walk about 3 blocks.

Hotel is in the Queen Anne area, so multitudes of food places are nearby. Just walk down Mercer Street. Thai food and coffee shops on just about every other block.
