First-class service
Susan Nov 17, 2009
The staff provided first-class service. You would think you were in a five-star hotel. While the entire staff displayed ... professionalism, [...], the front desk manager, was extremely helpful and courteous going above and beyond what would be expected. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice Hotel
KGil Aug 3, 2009
The hotel was great, a little more expensive than what I wanted but it was very clean and the staff was friendly. There was ... not much available for parking in the area, and the valet parking was still $24 per night for guests of the hotel.

Doubletree Inn at the Colonnade
Frank Jul 17, 2009
PROS: Very nice Hotel. Clean comfortable room. Close to just about everything. The staff was very nice and helpful. Check in ... was a breeze. We spent most of our time at the inner harbor. It was very easy to get back and forth. Valet parking was great, no problem getting the car when we need it. We enjoyed our stay. I would stay at this hotel again. CONS: No real parking unless you use valet service. It's extra but you have to pay to park anyhow. Some off street parking would have been nice. The pool was kind of small and VERY shallow. There where insufficient number of towels at the pool.

Most everything is just a short drive away. Use parking garages. There are plenty and you can find one a short walk to where ever you would like to be.

Refined and dignified

The hotel and staff give you the feeling of a Grande Dame of hotels of a by gone era. The elegant lobby to the overall ... atmosphere of the hotel. We always have stayed at this hotel when we are in the North section of Baltimore for its convenience to everything. A Grand Hotel from another era, but updated.

Much Cheaper than Inner Harbor
Julie Aug 21, 2008
We weren't going to spend much time at the hotel, so we decided to stay at the Doubletree. What a great choice! It's a ... beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms. Parking is easy enough to find in downtown Baltimore so we just drove our car to the Camden Yards area. Even though you have to drive through a sketchy part of Baltimore to get to the hotel, once you arrive there, you feel very safe. The person at the check-in desk was difficult to understand (English was his second language), but he was very accommodating and pleasant. (and you can't beat the Doubletree cookies!) Overall, we definitely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The next time we visit the Baltimore area, we will definitely stay here again,

The Inner Harbor and Camden Yards are about five miles away. Taking your own car isn't a problem due to the many parking areas in downtown Baltimore.

Staff sometimes just don't get it
Howard Jul 30, 2008
While I like this property, sometime the staff just don't get it. They don't seem happy that you are there and are not ... terribly friendly. At the front desk and front area, they often sit and talk among themselves, sometimes ignoring that a customer is there. The restaurant still does not open early enough for breakfast for the business traveler who needs to leave early. On check-in, I had to remind the front desk person about the free breakfast coupon-- and they never asked if I was parking in their pay garage. More positive attention and focus on the customer is needed--especially for the price of the hotel.

Not worth the Money
anne Aug 5, 2007
The hotel lobby entrance was beautifully decorated so we were anticipating to stay in a lovely room. The pool was very ... small, only 4 feet deep, and the lifeguard was sleeping on one of the lounge chairs. I would have much rather paid more and stayed at a hotel closer to the harbor, one with a more pleasing decor and improved amenities.
