We were in Flagstaff for a visit with grandchildren so spent most of our time off site. The staff was friendly; there is no ... elevator, so the desk clerk offered us a ground level floor if we didn't want to use stairs. The breakfast was very minimal and coffee was warm. The housekeeper was friendly. Despite below freezing temps, the room was quite cozy and warm. The hotel is very close to I-40 and you can hear traffic passing, but it was not intrusive.

This was definitely better than staying at Fort Tuthill. Didn't like carrying my stuff up a stair and clear to the other ... end of the building. And having to make that trip every time I wanted to get ice, coffee, paper, etc. The heater/air conditioner was excellent. Basically the room had the essentials and was clean.

Upon entering the hotel at we were greeted by the sight, sound, and smell of the hotel laundry via the open door behind the ... receptionist. We paid $130 a night for a stay at a hotel that was not even equal to the quality of a Motel 6! When we finally got into our room, we tried to take a nap. It was impossible to sleep for very long because of the sound of a barking dog in the next room. We were unaware that it was a pet friendly hotel. No smoking allowed but the stink of dog/cat urine is apparently ok. Because I booked through Orbitz we couldn't just check out and find another hotel. We were in Flagstaff visiting a sister at the Flagstaff Medical Center. On the second night we got back to the hotel late to find that there were no parking spaces left. There was a truck parked in two spaces. I described the truck (including license #)and asked the night clerk to contact the owner and ask him to move into one space. He refused and suggested that we park across the street in the Wal-Mart parking lot or next door at the Ramada. We ended up parking in an illegal spot rather than risk a tow at the Ramada or Wal-Mart. Another night's sleep ruined not only by the sound of barking dogs but with the worry about getting a parking ticket.

Great Location
Savannah Sep 29, 2008
The hotel staff said all the new bedding ect was on back order. The room was small and sorta dirty with old burnt sheets, ... carpet coming up and left over hair in the bathroom. The heater and the water in this hotel were very foul smelling. The room was humid and smelly. The age of the hotel shows in the rooms and in the pool area. The staff was friendly and helpful. All though we wanted to watch a paperview movie and had to be moved three different times due to no box or not a working one (not all rooms were as dirty as our first. So the manager was nice and accomidating. The free breakfest was normal (doughnuts, cereal, juice, ect) the area was clean and well stocked all though rather busy at times. I would recommend staying here if your on a budget. It is located near good restraunts and grocery as well as NAU.

Sleep Inn at Flagstaaff is conveniently located near several good family restaurants and numerous shoppping locations -- Big ... 5 Sports and Walmart are practicaly next door, as is a movie chain. Northern Arizona University campus is a few blocks away. The hotel is close to the Interstate and Flagstaff airport, but without being right at a busy exit. The faciility is very clean and well run, with a friendly and efficent staff.

The hotel was decent-it seemed clean and offeredt the free continental breakfast. However, the pool and spa were out of order ... when we got there. Many other people were complaining, also,as that was one of the main reasons we picked that hotel. It is convenient to NAU and the town-bathroom was pretty dinky.
Traveler type: Family
you are very close to many stores (WalMart is right across the street) and lots of restaraunts (Olive Garden, wing place, Fazoli's). NAU is very close, also, as is the main street into Flagstaff.
