Inn By The Lake - a Great Place

This hotel is very close to Heavenly Mountain Resort where I went skiing while there. Restaurant (Bear Beach Cafe) next door ... is very good and convenient. Shopping and fast food is located nearby and on the way to the ski area. I was offered a free upgrade to a king-sized bed and lake view upon arrival. All-in-all, it was a great stay!

Great Hot Tub & Free Internet

My husband was hiking and I flow down to meet and hike with him for the weekend. We liked the free internet to get ... information on some hiking trails and print off my boarding pass. The Hot tub was great for the sore muscules at the end of the day. We really missed not having a table to sit at to eat and look at our maps in the room. The room was very warm and we could not turn down the heat, so we openned the patio door, that was noisy though. The employees were very nice and helpful. The coffee in the lobby was great. And the restaurant right next door was great, the "Bear Beach Cafe".

We really enjoyed our stay at the "Inn by the Lake". The view of the Lake was spectacular. The front desk employees were very ... happy and eager to please. The wait to register was backed up and they upgraded us to a Jr. Suite with a view of the lake for $20.00 more a night. Very worth the price. The suite was very nice with a camera view of the lake. The heated pool was very nice and the spa was wonderful. If you are looking for a nice hotel that is relaxing and reasonably price I would recommend it to anyone that wants a mellow atmosphere with kind people and a beautiful view.

If you like to bike. The Inn has beach bikes available to use for free. It was a blast. If you have your own bike, take it down to the trails off the keys and stop by the beacon and have a Rum Runner. (Only One!). Enjoy.

The staff was friendly and the location was great. The lake is right across the street, there is shopping near by and the ... casinos are 2 miles away (not walking distance unless you're really motivated).

My husband and I had stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it, especially the complimentary breakfast. However, this ... time they put is in the "pool building", which sounds wonderful, but it's not very nice. The main building we stayed in the first time was very nice, but this pool building was a bit run down. The vinyl floors in the bathroom were ripped and in need of repair. The tub was so worn out that I did not take that bath I had wanted. Also, our bed was vibrating. My husband thought that was neat until I informed him it was because the people in the room below us had their bathroom fan on. All night whenever someone went to the bathroom, we could hear bathroom fans going. It kept me up half the night. And there was no complimentary breakfast. Management informed us upon check-out that it had been discountinued once the restaurant went in. We went there for breakfast, which ended up being $22.50 for the two of us, was good, but I had been expecting a complimentary breakfast. My friends who stayed at Harvey's got a much better room and better rates.

Memorable Weekend

After procrastinating and waiting until the day we were leaving I booked a room for 3 in a queen sized bed. After arriving at ... the Inn By The Lake we were greeted by [...] who was as sweet as can be. She noticed we had our 3 1/2 year old daughter and without even asking she switched us into a king size bedroom. To top it off it had a view of the lake. On a holiday weekend you could not have asked for better service. After getting into the room we were amazed at the size and features in the room. Everything was clean and in its own place. We brought our daughters bike with us but never got a chance to take out a couple bikes for ourselves. The bike trail along the lake is just across the street. We will be make use of this feature the next time we stay in Tahoe. What a location. Thank you Rosie and to your staff for the wonderful stay. We know where will will be staying the next time. The Inn at the Lake is in an ideal location. However, our room did not have a lake view which was disappointing. Also, the ... people downstairs were extremely noisy until about 1:30 a.m., and nothing was done even after we called the front desk twice. The room itself was very nice.

the Inn by the Lake is directly across the street from Lake Tahoe. The setting is gorgeous and there is a woodsy campground next door. It is also within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

The hotel was comfortable, and we had a large room with a desk, seating, refrigerator, and microwave, and the dressing area ... was separate from the bath which was convenient. We really enjoyed our balcony facing Lake Tahoe. Nice location near many restaurants, casinos, etc. Being the 4th of July, the hotel set out many chairs and blankets for their guests to enjoy the evenings firework show over the lake. Very enjoyable weekend.

Very clean rooms (no musty odors), comfortable beds, plenty of room for all my luggage, nice white plush bathrobes, balcony ... looking towards lake. The air was so clean and the lake looked so peaceful. The staff that checked us in were so comforting, warm and friendly. I actually thought about living there for a split second. The staff gave a few recommendations for dinner and directions. We never heard our neighbors and breakfast was the best w/ starbucks coffee, bagels (bagel slicer)and bagel toaster, yoplait yogurt, cereals, etc.

This was a special getaway. The matress was as hard as a rock. The Inn by the Lake view was of a dirty trailor park next ... door. Our first rooms toilet took three flushes for urine to go down. The bathtub had hair in it. As we were leaving (before check out time) we witnessed a newlywed couple going through the trash with hotel staff. They went to have their continental breakfast. While they were gone the hotel staff cam in and through their wedding glasses,cake topper and other numurous things away. Keep in mind check out was 11am and this was 9:30am. Very disappoinging experiance....
