Friendly Staff & Great Location
Concert Goer Nov 23, 2009
Our visit to Cincinnati was to attend back-to-back concerts on Friday and Saturday night. Although it was crowded, the staff ... was very kind and welcoming. The location of the hotel was perfect. We were walking distance to great shopping and restaurants/bars. We took a cab, with the help of their friendly doormen to Newport on Saturday and were able to walk back. Perfect place to stay for a tour of Cincinnati!

I've stayed at the Millennium before for business, and I prefer the Hyatt across the street. When I book on Orbitz the ... Millennium either isn't offered, or it's more expensive than the nicer Hyatt across the street. This time cost was the factor in booking the Millennium.

Rooms were adequate but certainly not spacious. Bath had no place to lay out shaving kit. And something needs to be done ... about their valet service. We had to stand outside for over 45 minutes waiting to get our car back from their valet service garage. They were gracious in removing the $22.00 daily parking charge for that day.

Not what I was expecting
unknown Aug 3, 2009
We chose this hotel based on location. We were looking to have a nice weekend in Cincinnati and this hotel is right ... downtown. Upon arrival the valet was extremely backed up with the overflow stopping on a main street. After we were checked in a settled (noticing our complimentary lotion was half used already and there was no hotel, room or local information guide in the room) we called for our car. 45 minutes later my husband was sent to the basement to help in finding the car. Once he located the car it took the valet another 20 minutes to locate the keys. The next morning, because there was no information in our room, I had to call the front desk for the checkout time and instructions (the instructions were on our receipt which we later found out in the hall)...this brings us back to the nightmare referred to as valet. Our car was at the front door when we exited the hotel however blocked in by several other cars that had arrived and/or were ready to be picked up. We waited another 35 minutes just to pull away from the curb. Out of our quick weekend getaway, we spent over an hour and a half waiting on the valet service. The hotel was a nice hotel visually, the location was good but for the price we paid, I expected better organization.

A great location. Adjacent parking is $15 for 24 hours (not bad for Cincy), or valet $22. Not sure what a previous poster ... meant about no parking. One entrance leads right to the parking lot. An easy walk to the Aronoff, stadiums and convention centers. The rooms are on the old side, but seemed clean. All and all not the best value around, but still a nice stay.

Sad stay
Toots Jun 8, 2009
This was my first time staying at this hotel. I pull up to the hotel and first thing I see is a sign for valet parking $22. ... On the desription of the hotel, it never stated there was a fee for parking, and $22 is a bit pricey, but there is no where closer to park. So you have no choice but to let them park your car for you. I had a 20 minute wait to sign in, I use my debit card to pay for my room. They tell me, since I'm using my debit, I'll have another $50 fee added onto the bill, and once the charge for my room is cleared, I'll be reimbursed the $50, but it'll take 14 business days. I had to sign a waiver saying if we smoked in the room, there was another $250 fee. After all this is done, my key wouldn't open the door. We had to get another key. We get in, check the room out. We are hungry so we look at the book showing what kinda food is available, I must say, the food was very pricey. A bottle of water was $3.50, I'm not use to paying that kinda prices. We were able to locate a Arbys for lunch, then found a CVS to buy a few things for snack and breakfast. I was surprised there was no shuttle for this hotel. With the high prices they charge, they should definately have a shuttle.

There's a Arbys a short distance from the hotel to help feed people on a budget. Also, there's a CVS and a Walgreens, close by so you can pick up water, soda and snacks.

Booked this hotel due to it's close proximity to the ball park and reviews. Location is good, rooms are drab and furnishings ... are dated. Upon return from the game, security was contacted twice due to the noisy neighbors on our floor. Security did respond. The noisy neighbors got a 2nd wind about 2:45a.m. we took the chance of knocking on the door ourselves. Finally, about 3:00a.m there was silence. Glad to be home is all I can say. Would not recommend.

Our room was not ready and they wanted to downgrade us to double beds. I argued with them and the Marques at the front desk ... got rude. Beware they charge you for parking which is not stated on the site. Room decor is very outdated. Was suppossed to be a relaxing experience but was stressful. Would recommend any place around it but stay away. Check in took 30 minutes or more.

i arrived late for this business trip and was treated well. i called for a takeout meal that was delivered to the front ... desk, where i picked it up. people making deliveries are not allowed at the room level, which probably is a good safety feature. there was some work to do and the surroundings were conducive to spreading out papers and eating at the same time. the lighting could have been better for my old eyes. i had breakfast delivered to my room. it was very tasty and warm. it was a quick trip and a pleasant stay.

We stayed here because it was within walking distance of the ball park, and we went to the game. The hotel was packed with ... young girls and their families for a cheerleading competition, a sorority alumni reunion, and a wedding. Very small elevators, so we had to wait a long time to get one with space in it to check out. At night, they turned the hotel restaurant into a night club, which was unfortunate because we were hoping to go in and get a bite to eat. This is the second time we have stayed here when going to a baseball game, and the first time was MUCH better.

The restaurant in the hotel was a night club later on- would've been nice to know that. Hardly any other restaurants within walking distance were open late.

It was nice to stay but the check in line was so back up it that it took 45 minutes to get to the front of the line and then ... our key card wouldn't work. However, the front desk did apologize and just sent security right up to look at the lock. And the beds are awful and I don't even want to think about how old the pillows because it was the worst pillow I have gotten. I ended up using a sweatshirt for a pillow. However, it is in a good location to the stadiums and other things so it was perfect for our needs.
