Overall, we had a good experience with our stay. The location is great if you want to be close to downtown. Our interactions ... with the staff were positive and friendly. The rooms were well-maintained and very comfortable. The few amenities they do provide, like the gourmet chocolate chip cookie, are nice. However, a number of things are extra. You won't find a continental breakfast here. Be prepared to spend $10 a day on parking. It is difficult to park on the street in that area and if you do find a spot, you can only park at certain times. Also, surprisingly, wireless internet service is also $10 a day, which seems a bit ridiculous when so many other hotels offer it for free. If you want to be close to downtown, if you like to be pampered and have the extra money to spend on the niceties, this hotel is for you. If you are simply looking for a decent stay at a good price, you might look elsewhere.

This hotel is in a good location and pretty cheap. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance, could walk to BoA ... Stadium or downtown pretty easily. When I arrived, the front desk told me the only room to meet my reservation was on a smoking floor. The floor was like a smoking lounge and there was no way I could stay there. They put me in a double room which was smaller due to the beds. The guy at the front desk wasn't apologetic and offered nothing for the inconvenience. Overall a good value, but beware if you're a non-smoker.

Nice, clean,uppermidrange hotel in a very walkable in town location. Very close to the stadium, business district, and the ... music venue that we came to town for. Lots of unique local restaurants and clubs. Very pedestrian friendly area.

The Doubletree Hotel - Gateway Village, is in a wonderful location in Downtown Charlotte. The staff is very friendly and ... accomodating. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. I always try to stay at this location when I am in Charlotte.

Very comfortable bed, large room. The staff was accomodating, gave us a room with a refrigerator when we asked. We had a ... vehicle that was too tall for the parking garage & had to park down the street. We had to wait for the gate to be opened every time we came & went, which was a hassle, but we were refunded the parking charges for our trouble. We had great fun walking downtown a few blocks to dinner each night.

I was very pleased with our stay at the Doubletree. This is our second time staying. We are in town every year for the Coca ... Cola 600. Although we did find a hotel closer to the event and not as expensive, which we stayed the second night there. I'm sad to say but I think we will be staying at the other hotel our next trip.

Hotel Staff not too friendly. Only 2 elevators so the wait is quite long to get to your room. The room was clean. Toliet ... too low to floor. Nice tolietry amenites. However no shower cap. Overall nice stay. Transportation to and from the airport is $25 each way. Be sure to check with the hotel for cost because the driver will include gratutity automatically and say the cost is $30, not knowing one will give an additional tip.

The Doubletree Hotel Charlotte was extremely comfortable and quiet. The room was large and spacious. The location was perfect ... for enjoying the down town area as well as close to the stadium. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. You really couldn't ask for a better hotel for the price. I was quit impressed.
