Top Notch Hotel on the Corner
J College Grad Oct 31, 2009
Regency Suites Hotel was a great hotel that offered alot for a reasonable price. The service was great and the room was ... comfortable. My only complaint was the location as it is located on a street corner in downtown Atlanta. With the exception of the traffic noise, my stay was very welcoming and I would definitely stay there again.

Good value for Midtown
Vern Oct 22, 2009
This hotel was about half the price of the big franchised hotels nearby, but has most of the same functionality. It's sort of ... like a Marriott which hasn't been updated since the 1980s. Pluses are a convenient location, free wifi and free continental breakfast. Minuses are old-fashioned acrylic blankets and polyester bedspreads, low water pressure.

Good hotel w/ next door MARTA access
VT Hokie Sep 6, 2009
Rooms very well appointed, on par with most nice hotels. Staff very friendly and helpful. Being next door to MARTA station ... extremely beneficial. Calling the continental breakfast "deluxe" is really a stretch. Nothing sets their breakfast apart from most mid-range hotels that offer continental breakfast.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly, their service at check-in and all during our stay impressed us. The location is ... very handy for using the subway, very good restaurants are within a short walk, and even a grocery is handy to the hotel. While not the newest of hotels, the rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The So-So Hotel
Williams Fam trip Aug 3, 2009
First of all when i called the Hotel thye told me we would be getting a queen or king bed and when we got to our room it was ... a standard size bed. Then When I went to take a shower there was hair in all in tub and the drain was clogged. They did come and fix the drain but not the air. The air blew luke warm air we had to by a box fan to help with the stuffiness. And the deluxe breakfast consisted of prepackaged muffins, stale bagels, small boxes of ceral, and yogurt. Not what I had in mind when I read "Deluxe" the room setup was good, the kitchen was nice housekeeping was good, parking was reasonable, and when we called witha problem they did try to fix it.

Just an Average Hotel
Mistyjet Apr 22, 2009
We selected this hotel based on its location which was close to the King Tut exhibit at the Atlanta Civic Center and the ... China Warriors exhibit at the High Museum. As part of our selection, we looked at location, price, and room amenities. While the area was excellent, finding the hotel even with GPS was a nightmare. The TV didn't work in our room and we had to repack up and move to another room without any assistance from management. We did not receive the complimentary newspaper but I can report the room was clean and I would say just average. The outside noise level was terrible with tons of traffic noise. Breakfast was very good, but when they say over at 10am they mean just that. One worker was taking up things a couple of minutes early and you had to rush to get anthing else you might have needed. My next stay in Atlanta will not be at the Regency.

Great choice for our stay!
Poppy Apr 22, 2009
We wanted a convenient location for visiting the museums and aquarium. We are originally from the Metro-Atlanta area and ... knew the vicinity. The hotel was convenient to MARTA and provided exactly what we needed for a quick two night stay. We do wish that the breakfast had a few more choices. Way too much sugar and no real cereal choices. The kitchenette could have been used, but we were on Spring Break. Didn't want to lug food with us. We did feel safe and found the staff pleasant.

Perfect Location!
Really missing Atlanta! Mar 3, 2009
Great location! My boyfriend and I used to live in Atlanta and we were in town for only one night. The hotel is adjacent to ... the midtown MARTA station, so getting to/from airport is very easy (we drove, but this would have been a great option if we hadn't). Really close to great attractions - Piedmont Park is 3/4 of a mile away, Cresent Ave (bars) are only a few blocks north, great food in easy walking distance in any direction. Long story short, the location is perfect for a great night in the city! The room itself was small and basic, but everything that we needed. The only hiccup was that the air conditioning didn't work, we called down to the front desk and they brought up a fan (very friendly staff!), and it was January, so we just opened up the window.

If you've never been to Atlanta, and you're not afraid of "different" dining experiences, you have to try The Vortex! They have the best turkey burgers, tator tots, onion rings, drinks, etc.! My only caution is that this is not a smoke free establishment, so I suggest visiting when it's warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the buzz of Peachtree Street. Read the menu, it's hilarious!!!
