went to disney for a spur of the moment trip for my 45th birthday. the hotel staff were not helppful for anything. when ... called for room service, no answer the first time and then rude people when we had questions. in room internet did not work one night and the answer that [...] at the front desk gave us was, everybody els's works just fine. no one at the front desk when we left and needed to call a cab, nor bell service. this hotel is convenient to disney but if service is something you value, choose elsewhere.

Everything about this hotel was great, except the wireless internet service, which was so slow as to be almost useless during ... afternoons and evenings. Rooms were very comfortable, clean, and quiet; heating and cooling worked very well, beds were very comfortable. There is also a very convenient and well-stocked little store next to the lobby.

This hotel would have been fine for a one night stay, but a week long visit reveals the many hidden expenses that reside ... here. The staff, however, where very friendly. The food was horrible at meal times and the shower collected water.

The best thing about this hotel is the closeness to the downtown disney area which has great shopping, dining, and entertainment.

The staff were very courteous. The resort and rooms were well kept. I was sorry I wasn't able to stay longer to enjoy the ... amenities. I drove right by the place the first time because the sign was tricky and the resort doesn't look like your typical Best Western. I'll definately stay here again when I need to return to Orlando.

First impression was nice, but the front desk clerk didn't clearly explain how to get to the room (thru the elevators), we ... had to ask twice and no map was provided. The interiors were great, except for a area of wetness and mold on our ceiling in the room. The ice machine on our floor was out of order. Being able to get Pizza Hut was a plus and the bar was nice. The pool was decent as well. Overall a good stay, but could have been better. We were staying for the location, a concert at House of Blues.

I was only there for a few days. The parking valet was very helpful with directions. Everyone was very friendly and ... helpful. I really appreciated the late night lounge after a long day at the parks. I wished they had refrigerators and microwaves in the standard rooms. I didn't think it was right that you had to pay extra for them especially since we had to pay the resort fees for amenities that other hotels give you for free.

"The good, the bad, and the really ugly"
World Traveler Jul 6, 2009
Spent the 4th of July weekend with an old college friend for a girls weekend...room was very small, bathroom was very ... outdated with the sink in the shower/toilet area...I've never seen this type of footprint for hotel bathrooms and I've seen my share of average to high end hotels. Parking after a night out was horrific...no spots available leaving the valet parking as the only option. Hotel staff would not permit free parking in the valet section even though they could not accommodate all of their guests who preferred general parking over valet..for the price of the hotel per night, very poor. I've stayed in cheaper hotels with better room presentation and plentiful parking in the same general location of Disneyworld. One positive is that the room had a balcony...being on the 9th floor was a treat with fireworks lighting up the sky no matter which direction we looked.

One Hot Week
Grandma on vacation Jun 5, 2009
Check-in was a breeze. Friendly service. We were given a room with a broken sofa. The hotel changed our room ... immediately. We were told guest services had a welcome packet for us. When we went to guest services, we found out it was a time-share pitch. When we told them we were absolutely not interested, they persisted. After assuring them I wasn't interested, they were not as friendly and there was no welcome packet. Housekeeping is a little lacking, but the services from the other providers is excellent. Dining in the restaurant is very convenient and the food is delicious. The prices are very reasonable. Nice breakfast buffet and pool-side cafe. Our dishes from late night room service sat in the hallway for three days and our linens were only changed once. (One day we asked to not be disturbed.) The other days, they came so late in the afternoon that we were dressing for dinner and could not be disturbed. The staff in the restaurant should commended for their hospitality and great service. We had absolutely no complaints.

The other hotels have nice restaurants as well. There is no shuttle service between resort hotels which I found strange, since it is all Disney. Long walk for those with disabilities like mine.

After a long day at Disney Magical Kingdom my family and I went to the hotel. The valet staff was so friendly. Checked in and ... was happy to see that they offered wi-fi. The hotel room was nice and clean great view of the city from our balcony. There was also a bus shuttle that goes every 30 minutes to downtown disney. It was nice not having to drive. We would definately recommend this hotel.

I traveled with a 4 & 13 year old for a family trip to disney and we wanted to enjoy the pool a couple of days considering we ... were staying for 13 days. The heater on the pool was broken the entire stay. We had bugs in our bathroom for the first week. The staff was rude to me at the beginning of the stay but then began to get alot nicer towards the end of the stay. It is a short walk to downtown disney which is nice.

Could Be Better
barnabylite May 10, 2009
Upon out arrival in the room we found we could only get hot water in the bathroom sink. Maintenance man was prompt and did ... his best to resolve the problem, but it didn't last. We had a ADA-Compliant room and we had the last one available, so we could not change rooms. Roll-in shower floor not set right for adequate drainage so water went all over bathroom floor. Also, personal shower head was on side wall of shower facing out into bathroom instead of one end or the other where water may have been contained a little better. Lock on bathroom door did not work and heat lamp didn't really seem to give much heat. Air conditioner in room seemed to run all the time, even when set on auto. Had to turn off several times to stay comfortable. We were only able to stay 2 nights so we managed, but if our stay was longer, we would have changed rooms as soon as possible.

I was pleased with my stay at this hotel. It is always a plus to have a restaurant in the hotel and the breakfast was good. ... We actually had dinner there one night also and it was a nice meal. The lobby is lovely and the shuttle service was convenient. The rooms were clean and comfortable with balconies. The bathrooms I do agree with other people need to be updated. It was perfect for what we wanted. We had no intentions of spending entire days in the hotel. Eat breakfast, use shuttle to parks, come back and go in the pool to relax. They even have a Pizza Hut inside which was nice on our last night while we were packing to just bring a pie up to the room. We would definitely stay again.

overall -- if you are looking to stay in disney on a budget - this is a great place. The location of the hotel could not ... have been more convenient - walked to and from downtown disney -- safe area -- shuttle buses were GREAT and KEY when staying in disney. My only complaint would be the bathrooms need renovations -- if you are picky about that quality of your bathroom - think twice before you staying here - otherwise it was perfect for what we needed.

I would not recommend this hotel to others unless you are desperate. There are better deals elsewhere. We stayed there ... thinking it would be nice to have the Disney transportation, knowing we could save on parking at the parks. The Disney transportation was awesome. Reliable, convenient, friendly and on-time. This is the only plus of the hotel and you are paying for it. This is a $50 room at best. And, the worst part is the nickel and diming you get once you get there. We asked for a luggage cart at the front desk. She says sure. It comes with a bellman, which to me means a tip that I don't want to pay. I explained that we didn't need the help, and was told guests were not allowed to use the luggage carts themselves! In the parking lot there are maybe 20 parking spots. The rest are all valet spots, charging around $12 a day. If you want a microwave in the room that is another $30 per night. There is no free breakfast. The hotel room is small and outdated.
