Perfect Winter Getaway!!!
Sweetness1128 Jan 1, 2010
From reading some other reviews I was kind of skeptical about staying here. I'm glad I decided to stay here. My husband and I ... had a long weekend of rest and relaxation taking in the breathtaking views of the beach. Our room was so cozy and peaceful that we had to drag ourselves out of our room to visit attractions. For anyone looking for the perfect winter getaway for a good price I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We arrived early and got a room immediately. The assigned room smelled smokey. I contacted the front desk and they ... immediately got us another room. The studio room was clean, quiet and had a lovely ocean view. We went to three Christmas shows in the two days we were there.

A great experience-Hotel and Concert!
TakingBackSunday Fan Nov 22, 2009
The amount of pools and jacuzzis are fabulous! We went during November and the indoor pools and endless amount of jacuzzis ... are what made the trip perfect! The beach was gorgeous, the staff was beyond great and the room was spotless. The bedding is a little out dated but then again, you sleep with your eyes closed so it's not a big deal at all. All around, it was perfect!

House of Blues was such a great place for an concert but I highly suggest buying VIP because the standing area is slim and if you are short then you are out of luck. And the hotel was absolutely perfect location and the staff was great!

we have stayed at baywatch many times. nice location and staff is friendly but the cleaning crew was not very good. while ... we got clean towels everyday she never swept or changed the bedding.the bathroom floor was never cleaned the whole week and a half we were there. The plumbing was very loud. maybe the higher up you stay the better the plumbing noise would be. Not sure if we'll stay there again

Pretty good for the price
Tweediebird Nov 2, 2009
The room was fine. We didn't like that the front door opened right into the bedroom and guests had to walk through the ... bedroom to enter the condo. Our first iron leaked (broken) and the second one left white residue all over our clothes. All of our entry cards were expired two days before our departure (we couldn't get into the garage or our room). We had to run the water in the shower for almost 30 minutes before it warmed up and the pressure was very low. However, over all, we had a nice stay and would most likely stay there again. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room was also very clean. It would have been nice to have a washer and dryer in the room. I was able to work from the room since there was dial up access. We feel the price was right.

Customer is not first priority
Never Again Oct 7, 2009
[...]we requested an upgrade. The first room had cobwebs from one bed to the other on the ceiling. It was apparent the AC was ... just turned on and had not been used in a while, bc dust was blown on the ceiling from one were the vent was to the other side of the ceiling. The second room, before entering there was a dust pan prompting the entry, trash and fingernail polish/paint in the foyer before entering the room, needless to say, I went no further but my husband did and took pictures. Oh, yeah the tv's were 19'[, I didn't know they were still around!! [...]. After we showed the pictures to management, did a room majically become available, or should I quote "we bumped another customer to accomodiate you". So much for making two wrongs right. My husband and I have over 10 years combined experience in the hotel industry at resort and extend stay hotels and we were shocked to have recieved this type of service at a "resort". My advice stay at other Oceana resorts, Baywatch is not worth the money and up keep of the property is a portrait of a hotel that is expericing a staffing recession like our economy. I called the Anderson property to see if there was availablity and the service was what I would have expected, customer first.

Amazinggggg place to stay!
Pamelaskyy Oct 6, 2009
This place was amazing! Check in time wasnt until 4pm we were coming from tennessee and got there early, called the hotel and ... they advised they would let us check in early which was greattt!!!! The hotel was clean, well stocked, and was more than willing to help with any thing you may need. The hotel gift shop was cute and had things you might have forgotten at home. The clerk who was working the gift shop as extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel had 2 bars in it and they were very fairly priced. For the small price you pay to stay in this hotel you will def be getting your moneys worth and more! I really like leaving places and feeling like I received a good deal and this hotel really made me feel like I got a steal!!! LOVE this hotel!! I will always stay here.

A nice place to stay. Down the street from various shopping centers. We had a great view of the ocean and our room was ... comfortable. The kids liked the lazy river, outdoor and indoor pools. The bad part was the tub was very slow to drain and the housekeeping staff began knocking on our door at 930 when checkout was not until 1100.
