Very small hotel near a nice trendy neighborhood. The rooms are small and a little dumpy, but they were clean (as far as we ... could tell) and we had no problems.

Horrible pillows, sheets & towels
Disappointed Traveler Aug 10, 2009
There was no parking available which should have been mentioned in their ad. The pillows were rock hard, the towels were ... thin and smelled of bleach. The sheets were very old and thin. Fortunately we did not have to spend very much time in the hotel. It was not a pleasant experience. We would not book there again and would be hesitant to book at a Ramada at any location.

They've got the basics down...
Lauren Oct 26, 2008
Room was clean, comfortable, and bathroom/vanity fixtures appeared newly renovated. I was surprised at how nice it was for ... the price in an expensive area! Within walking distance to good Marina restaurants and nightlife. Hotel definitely has the basics down. Walls were a bit thin, as you can easily hear talking/laughing/people walking by. Parking first come, first serve....great if you check in early!

Extremely Disappointed
Jody Oct 20, 2008
The complaint we have is that we were unable to sleep throughout the entire night. Because of the hotel design causes noises ... to echo throughout the courtyard, which meant we could hear everyone's conversation each door that was shut, each door that was locked, and each single car that drove by the hotel. Additionally, individuals throughout the night tried to enter our room. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy San Francisco as we left a day early because we did not want another sleepless night. Management did not care and charged us for the second night. Other things noted: broken door handle to bathroom, holes in sheets, hair and food on bedroom sheets.

Value in a solid location
Arthur Aug 2, 2008
It is what it is, a discount Ramada, but in a good location. The hotel staff was absolutely terrific. It is a small, older ... property that is about 3 star quality. For the money it served a nice purpose. The area was safe and quite a few families were staying there.

You can easily walk to an upscale boutique area and the most crooked street in the world. The walk to Fisherman's Wharf took about 25 minutes. Cab rides are short to anywhere and cheap.

I could not afford a high priced luxury hotel, this place fit my accomodations. It was clean the right size. By it not ... having a lot of creature comforts, it allowed me to explore the vacinity and isn't that what travel is all about being adventureous?

Along Lombard St. there are several small resturants reasonably priced and rather amble varieties, up the hill on Union Street it is more trendy but it depends on what one is looking for.

Its a room. Better than sleeping in an ally but not much. 3 Story walkup no elevators no help with your luggage. Room is ... in need of repair smoke detectors hanging from the ceilings holes in the walls. bed sheets torn and worn burn marks on carpet and comforter. Also there is NO FREE Shuttle, NO Airport transport unless You call a cab.

Close to Public Transit
Lisa May 17, 2007
This Ramada Limited was conveniently located near public transportation; we were able to park off-street (parking is limited ... on-site, additional street parking in back of motel) and go via BART buses. Accomodations are minimal, however it was quiet given the proximity to a major thoroughfare (Lombard). We were on business and on a tight budget, so the Continental Breakfast (which was also minimal) sufficed and was convenient.
