Weekend party palace for partiers

Great location on highway. Nice pool area. Nice to have breakfast included. Nice to have coffee pot & coffee in room with ... all the condiments for coffee. Nice to have individually wrapped cups. Extremely noisey with partiers up all night yelling and banging. Room smelled strong of cigarette smoke.

Horrible Hotel
Jeremy Feb 1, 2010
We checked in to the hotel early. As we got out of the car to walk to our room. There was a van with several teenagers ... talking about drugs, acting ignorant and being loud. We go inside the room and first things first the smell in the entire room was overwhelming. Every breath you took you smelt it. It was inescapable. My wife smelled the bedsheet and it stunk as well.We left that room and went to the front desk. The guy gave us another room. We went to this room it didn't have any people just hanging outside the rooms. We went into that room and it also smelled pretty bad but not as bad. One of the chairs in the room was literally about to break and it was very tempting to just sit in it and get a couple thousand dollars from a lawsuit. Why would you leave a broken chair in the room like that?[...] The guy offered us one of the suites on the top floor. This was our last bastion of hope!We went to the top floor opened the door and it smelled clean. The bedsheet smelled clean. It looked like the suite wasn't rented out very much so it hadn't gotten so nasty. We did find a dead cricket on the carpet but it was small compared to just having the whole room smell funky. It still wasn't that great of a room though we had two conjoining ones with a fridge and microwave. We weren't looking for all these extras we just wanted a clean room. I think that is what everyone wants when they go to their friend's house, their families' house and hotel rooms. After the room fiasco there were two more major complaints though I could go on and on. None of the vending machines were stocked around the ENTIRE hotel. Also my wife couldn't sleep very well because the hotel is right off the highway and the traffic kept her up.Other then this there was only a few more minor annoyances.

Living in Winter Haven and not wanting to be on the roads on New Year's Eve we opted for a hotel room. We went to Skipper's ... Roadhouse - it's less than a mile away...you can walk there and back. Or take a taxi for $4.25!!!

Hotel is pretty run-down, but was expected for the price. We had loud commotions both nights we were there and it was ... frigtening. The lobby was a long ways outdoors and I was frightened to walk there for coffee, breakfast, etc. I had to drive and didn't feel comfortable even doing that.

Available & Unclean
Shay Bay Jul 26, 2009
This particular Days Inn Was very unclean. The location was not bad...it was about 4 miles from Busch Gardens, but the area ... made me want to "clutch my purse". The staff was pleasant. The room was dank. I had to spray Lysol ALL over the room to sanitize it. 3 of the 5 lights did not work. The bathroom door stop was hanging off the wall. The reservation office was organized but not very clean. The stairs in the staircase were a bit loose. The Ice machines on all levels did not work.

OUR TRIP TO FLORIDA TO THE WORLD BIBLE QUIZ.I WAS TRAVELING WITH MY 10 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER, MIRANDA, AND HER ONLY REQUEST ... WAS A HOTEL WITH A POOL. AFTER WE CHECKED IN AND WENT TO OUR ROOM, MIRANDA WANTED TO SEE THE POOL, AT 4:30 AM. SHE COULD HARDLY WAIT TO GET IN & SWIM. AFTER A SHORT NAP , WAITING FOR SWIM TIME, SHE WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED, IT WAS CLEAN AND AT A COMFORTABLE TEMP. ALSO THE DELUXE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WAS EVEN BETTER THAN I EXPECTED. THE 2 QUEEN SIZE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE, MIRANDA ENJOYED HER OWN BIG BED. WE HAD A WONDERFUL TRIP, THANK YOU FOR A GREAT HOTEL AND WONDERFUL STAFF.

When I first arrived the Key to my room didn't work. When I got that all worked out I noticed that I was placed into a Non ... somking room with double beds when I requested a Smoking room with a QUEEN BED. So they changed the room with no Problem. But I still had double beds. Later on that evening BUG ANT like bugs started crawling up the wall I called the front desk and they sent the Maintenance man up. He "Stated that those weren't Ants those were termites". I once again was moved. Breakfast was O.k. I wouldn't recommend any of my friends to stay there.

Totally Nasty Place!
Tennis Mom Jun 25, 2009
We checked in 6/13/09-checked out 3/14/09 in a.m. Where to start: Our room was dirty-toothpaste on counter/sink, dirty ... towels, room smelled damp w/a.c. on. toilet was clogged when we got there (before we used it). Door didnt shut at bottom all the way (it locked but still didn't shut right). People drinking at pool till late at night-loud. Guys hanging out on steps drinking from 6pm-late. Both woke up with sore throats & bug bites after sleeping there all night. Totally nasty. I informed them when we checked out as well. Not recommended for family or females to stay there alone. Totally disappointed and checked out as soon as we could in a.m.-would have checked out night we arrived but we were in unfamiliar state and didn't want to go anywhere else until the morning and I was sure of where we were.

HORRIBLE! STAY AWAY FROM IT!
ap2003 May 12, 2009
I hated this hotel. It's not safe whatsoever. We had to change hotel rooms 3 different times before the day was over. Men ... were loitering around the pool. It looks totally different from the pictures. We didn't feel safe at all and kept having to watch our backs. A lot of the men who are on assignments are put up in this hotel b/c it's cheaper for the companies. If you're a diabetic, you won't do well with the breakfast AT ALL! The elevator felt as if we could possibly get stuck. And my mom wound up with even worse sinus problems when we left because they didn't clean the vents. We didn't sleep under the comforters or blankets. Just under the sheets. I slept in my clothes! ORBITZ, TAKE THIS HOTEL OFF OF THIS WEBSITE!

This non-smoking room was clean, comfortable, had enough pillows, (did not smell of smoke as some do), and had a courteous ... staff. The free breakfast buffet is all carbs, could use some eggs, cheese etc. It was fresh, and the young lady was polite as she helped with possible selections.
