Good staff/trouble with hotel
Jenn H Dec 1, 2009
I had a lot of trouble at the business center, but the staff did try their best to help me, even offering the conceirege ... computer. Very good location and room was comfortable, but awakened b/c shower so loud next door I thought it was a fire alarm. Again, staff indicated they would look into it.

Walk 6 blocks and you'll find a good, cheap Chinese restaurant that serves hand-made noodles, called Chinatown Express Restaurant (corner of 6th and G).

Best Staff Around
Capital Traveler Oct 13, 2009
The hotel was great. We got in to Washington DC very early and the very nice staff member at the desk checked us right in ... and put us in the first room that became available, making our wait very negligible. Staff went out of their way to be of assistance; they were always friendly and helpful. The room was great and the location of the hotel made it very easy to walk to everything we wanted to see. I'd stay there again anytime!

Comfortable and Friendly
DLJ Aug 27, 2009
The location is great - double decker tour bus stop right out front and within walking distance to many landmarks. Staff very ... accomodating and friendly. The concierge was usually very helpful -giving directions, restaurant recommendations. One concierge gave us a recommendation for a close restaurant where we could eat outside. When we got there (and it wasn't that close) we found that there was no outside dining and there were many closer restaurants that did have it.

Walls were paper thin, could hear every time someone took a shower or used a blow dryer. Certainly didn't deserve a 4 star ... rating. Best thing was the Starbucks in the lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful, but would not stay there again.

Marriott at Metro

We stayed for July 3rd and 4th, 2009 evening. It was a very busy weekend. The staff was quite friendly at the front door, ... front desk, and especially at the restaurant Fire Sage. They have delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A great deal for kids is the breakfast buffet at $4.99-a great price! The only disappointment was the small swimming pool area that was filled with kids up until 11 p.m. Otherwise the location is great and so was the clean room.

Super location, right above the Metro Center subway station. Easy to get to Chinatown, White House, Verizon Center, and the ... Mall. Best of all, if you fly into Reagan Airport, take the Metro for about $4 round trip, so no need for a car rental.

Great Location, Good Value
Frankie Jun 14, 2009
We toured DC and Georgetown. The parking was way overpriced. This hotel was a great location, first class service, and i ... enjoyed may stay. The rooms was clean and a good size. The parking like I said was overpriced and more expensive than some places in NYC which is just silly.

Georgetown for dinner is the way to go. A little cheaper, you get to see a very nice area and it has a nice nightlife.

Anoisy treat
AV Apr 22, 2009
Excellent location upscale utilities. Appearance of staff does not match the hotel quality although they were professional ... and eficient, they can use a little more smile. Hotel furnishings and appointments are great but the patchy paint takes away from it. The biggest problem is the noise from other rooms as well as rattling waterpipes. Overall good place to stay.

Merrakesh. A very nice Moroccan restaurant. Decent food, live belly dance. Good value dining and entertainment. Be careful, they do not take plastic. Cash only. Must have reservation.
