Great price for a fantastic resort hotel
Sisters on holiday Oct 14, 2009
The room was clean, large and interestingly laid out with a very large bathroom. It had a lovely view off the balcony ... overlooking a quad and one of the pools. I hung out at the pool, ate lunch on the patio and relaxed in comfortable poolside lounges. I got a fantastic rate for all that!

Hetz Oct 13, 2009
I had expected much more from the advertisements and pictures. Our room configuration made no sense, everything was old in ... the room such as cracked tiles, very small sinks, smelly carpets, leaking faucets. Prices were outrageous.. $9.14 for a 1.05QT bottle of water which we had to use because the water from the sinks smelled like sulfur. A 21% service charge on a muffin.

Labor Day Weekend
Arizona Traveller Sep 8, 2009
Didn't realize that they were marketing so strongly to children. Very noisy and crowded. Should have moved visiting couples ... to a separate area just to cut down on the noise. They did try to accommodate, but, really, this did not turn out to be a romantic weekend getaway.

Fantastic Family Vacation
Tina Aug 17, 2009
We had agreat time at the resort relaxing by all of the pools. The guest service staff was extremely helpful in arranging ... offsite day trips such as golfing and trips to a water park. The staff was great whenever we needed assistance; they made us feel as if they were there for us at anytime of day for anything. The resort was beautiful and centrally located to many restaurants and attractions so if you had a car you were not limited in your adventures.

An Excellent Family Get-A-Way
Sharon & Jerry Aug 10, 2009
Summer in the Phoenix area seems like a place to avoid, but our stay at the Fairmont Princess Resort in Scottsdale brought us ... to a piece of paradise in the desert heat that we thoroughly enjoyed. Even though we did not have children with us, it was a joy to see the wonderful activities offered daily for children which suprisingly included fishing. We actually witnessed a young man's excitement as he pulled a fish from the lagoon. They also have two large wonderful pools and the tallest waterslides in the area. I would return with my grandchildren when the opportunity arrived and we definitely found it peaceful and quiet for a relaxing, rejuvenating, and very pleasant stay and would definitely return.

Luxurious Retreat
Cactus Kate Aug 1, 2009
This hotel was the best part of our two-week trip. The service was excellent--warm and friendly as opposed to polite and ... stuffy. There was a separate pool with a slide for small children, so the main pool was left for those of us who wanted to relax. The rooms were spotless. The bathrooms were luxurious, having a large soaking tub as well as a separate shower. We ate at the cafe within the resort, which, again, gave us the best service of our entire trip. The area is also wonderful. The resort is very close to great shopping and a variety of restaurants. It was easy to drive around and then find our way back. We stayed at a different prominant resort in the same area on our way back from our destination, and it was awful compared to this one.
Traveler type: Family
Dining within the resort is pricey, as would be expected. I would recommend eating a few meals on site and going out for others in order to keep the cost down.
