Designed by National Artist of the Philippines Leandro Locsin, InterContinental Manila is a symbol of pride in the financial and commercial hub. Across from the Greenbelt and Glorietta shopping and entertainment districts, the hotel is also near the Ayala Museum and the walled city of Intramuros. Glorietta Mall, a short walk under the street, has great shopping and excellent restaurants. We also take advantage of exceptionally reasonable pricing for services such as personal grooming - hair cuts/styling, manicure and pedicure.

Dining across from the hotel is good. There are several restaurants within walking distance and are a lot cheaper than dining at the Jeepney Bistro.

Great location and friendly staff
Frequent traveler to Manila Oct 28, 2009
Our stay in Makati, Manila, Philippines was a stopover from a short vacation in Boracay. We live in Guam; we took advantage ... of Makati's better shopping and excellent restaurants. The wife also had some cosmetic dentristry done at a small fraction of the standard cost on Guam. We also had shirts, skirts and dresses custom made at a VERY REASONABLE price. We travel to Manila several times a year and usually stay at the Intercontinental Hotel because of its location across the street from the Glorietta Mall at Ayala Center and the standards of accommodation and service offered.

We experienced an unfriendly staff (elderly male) at the front desk. Had to ask 3 times to please replenish body wash ... everyday. We had stayed at the Philippine Plaza and it was a wonderful stay compared to this hotel.

Outstanding Hotel

We almost always stay at this hotel when we travel to Manila. Staff and service are exceptionally friendly, courteous and ... always helpful. Rooms are nicely appointed and always clean. Hotel's location is right across from the Ayala Mall - great shopping, services and restaurants. There is a nice restaurant right off the lobby where you can order anything from a quick sandwich to their sumptuous buffet. We travel around the world and this is one of our favorite hotels.
