Dissapointed.

The stay started out hectic after already having reserved and paying for the rooms, I was refused to be allowed to check in ... without a $150 "incidentals" deposit of which I did not have.. After finagling a way to get more money in to my bank account, they allowed me to check in (about 4 hours later). After checking out I'm now left with a 3-5 day hold on my deposit that has resulted in multiple bounced check fees. The reservation clerks were unwilling to try and make any accommodations whatsoever, and my only other option at the time was to cancel the reservation without a refund. A block down the street from here is the Garfield suites, where you can rent a full 3 bedroom suite for half the price of the Cincinnatian, the staff is also friendlier and not as stuck on trying to convince you that their maybe 3 star hotel is a 4 star/diamond establishment.

Great Location
Marcus Sep 8, 2009
My girlfriend and I decided to take a getaway trip to Cincinnati. I was kind of concerned about which hotel to chose from in ... the downtown area. We chose The Cincinnatian and soon as we got downtown we could not find the valet location. Then theres not many valet guys working at the same time so it kind of took awhile to get the car. But other than that the hotel was great! Very clean, friendly and professional staff, decent sized rooms and large bathroom. We didnt spend too much time in the hotel we spent most of our time out and about. Oh and they kept forgetting to give us the key to the mini bar!

Nice Hotel

The Cincinnatian Hotel is a historic hotel located in downtown Cincinnati and is a great location. We stayed for the WEBN ... fireworks and the walk down to the river was not far. The half off happy hour pricing was excellent. The room was on the small side, but should be expected in a older hotel. It was amazingly quiet considering the event that took place. I would recommend this hotel, however book a room with a King bed and not a queen as the room might be larger in size. The bathroom was of good size though.

The location in downtown Cincinnati was fabulous. We were able to walk to all resturaunts we visited. The valet parking was ... very helpful and affordable and convient--we didn't have to worry about finding a spot. The staff was very hoispistable and polite, always willing to help with every little detail. The hotel is so quiet that at times it felt as if we were the only guests. We highly recommend the hotel and plan on staying again ourselves.

Some confusion when I tried to check-in ... apparently, they had three separate rooms booked for me. Not sure how it ... happened, but I do know that I should not have been inconvenienced because of it. Not a great way to start an otherwise pleasant stay.

We only stayed one night to go to the Reds game, so didn't spend much time at the hotel, but we thought it was very nice and ... a good location for walking to the ballpark and Fountain Square. The bar was very nice, quiet, and still served food at a late hour, after the ballgame. It was a good value for the money.

We stayed at the Cincinnatian for our first wedding anniversary. The room was beautiful. The view was lacking, but since it ... is a historic hotel, there aren't many floors. It is close to Fountain Square and upscale restaurants. My husband is from Cincinnati, but he had never staying in this hotel. The room service menu was reasonably priced. It was the perfect room and location for our first anniversary. We plan on trying to stay in other Preferred hotels for our other anniversary trips!

I have always hear that this is a great hotel. I loved the sunken bathtub and my room made me feel at home. I was awakened ... from my nap by the sound of a violin playing in the courtyard. I'll take that any day! I really enjoyed my stay and I will only stay at the Cincinnatian when I return back home.

The there isnt much in down town cinncy. It is trying but there isnt the selection or quality of shops, hotels, and ... attractions that you would find on the east or west coast. For what there is the Cinncinattian hotel is convenient to the best and most active parts.
