My wife and I have been Blessed to be able to travel to venues from coast to coast and to numerous other countries. We ... stayed at this Hyatt as a one night stop-over on our way to Napa. The airport location was perfect for us. The room was very clean and spacious. We decided to dine-in and enjoyed a peaceful, perfectly prepared and graciously served meal. The following AM, the concierge was most helpful in helping us plan our travel from town.

Good hotel for the price
Traveler Oct 27, 2009
We had a great room with king-size bed with lots of room. Downtown Burlingame is 10 minutes away with lots of nice ... restaurants. San Francisco is only 20 minutes away. We stayed only one night and went into San Francisco on our departure date to see a show. Only problem with our hotel room was the noise of the freeway at night. If we stay there again, we would ask for an Atrium room away from the freeway noise.

Despite not being downtown, this hotel can serve the business traveler without a car. Just take the Airport shuttle to "Bart" and hop on the subway. You will be downtown in no time. If all you have are meetings in SF, then do not kill yourself with renting a car. The little time you take to get on the shuttle and get to Bart pales in comparison to the time it will take to get your rental car, traffic, and then parking in SF.

If arriving from the airport, you must go upstairs from baggage claim to find the shuttle. The hotel has but one so you will have to wait.

My Journey of the Soul

It was a peaceful, restful (albeit short) stay after a wonderful "journey of the soul" for me and two friends in the Bay ... area. I was traveling on to Portland & Seattle and was very rested for the rest of my trip. I certainly look forward to another stay at the Hyatt Regency in the future, perhaps for a much longer stay.

Convenient Place to Stay near SFO
Al the Pal Sep 26, 2009
Good Hotel to Stay near SFO. The Staff was very nice. They needed to add staff in the morning at the Atrium Coffee shop, one ... person doesnt move the line quick enough especially when people are trying to get going. Otherwise the sports bar staff was great and the food was good. The peanuts at the sports bar was an added kicker.

Very Pleased!
Mommy of 4 Sep 16, 2009
There hadn't been any recent reviews on this hotel and the last few said it was in great need of a remodel. Well happy to say ... they have remodeled it and it looks great! Our room had a blue/brown color scheme with very modern and clean lines. The staff was very friendly and efficient. It's very close to a Panera bakery, In-n-out, Target and about 15 mins to Downtown SanFran. This is our new places to stay whenever we are in San Francisco.

Good only for overnight stay
jenny Aug 29, 2009
We stayed at the hotel due to location and wanted to go sight seeing in san francisco, it was great for this only, the staff ... were helpful and very pleasant, dont think by getting a room for less than $120 a night that its a bargain because all kinds of other charges kept popping up, the room was ok the bathroom was not very clean, not enough towels or toiletries offered, the floors needed to be vacuumed. The room had the atrium view which was nice but it was so hot and stuffy in the hotel and the air was very heavy...we did not like the lack of air circulation. we were also not told of the extra fee for parking they do valet parking or there is self parking but all is charged for. We were also told there was internet but when we got there we had to pay extra for this aswel. The onsite food and restaurants were not very affordable and the options were limited.

The hotel will take your rental car return as long as it's a hertz rental. Way easier than having to return at the airport. Then just take their convenient shuttle and be at the SF airport in less than 10 minutes.

If you don't want to pay the tall prices for dinner at the Hyatt, there is a Sizzler directly across the street. Good food, good prices and a decent buffet.
