All in all the hotel was acceptable. Free parking was nice. 24 hr bowling alley and a couple of restaurants nearby. The ... hallways were soaked with water from the rain and were musty or moldy smelling, but the room was clean and comfy. Staff was very helpful, gave us directions, recomended places to eat, called us cabs.

Affordable & comfortable hotel

We were pleasantly surprised right from the start to find a freephone at the airport direct to the hotel, whereupon a shuttle ... was sent immediately to pick us up. The shuttle service was an invaluable part of our stay, with regular pick-up & drop off service to the T station. The hotel staff were polite & very helpful; our room was basic but very comfortable & clean with all the amenities we needed, including TV, WiFi and air-conditioning. Complimentary breakfast was tasty & plentiful, although breakfast room tended to get busy. The restaurant next door was very pleasant, delicious food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. The hotel is in a bit of a non-descript area, but we were able to use the 'T' to get to central Boston with a 10 minute train journey and saw all the sights we had planned with no difficulty. We would definitely stay here again - as a cheap & comfortable base to see Boston, it was fine.

We got early check in and the staff was really friendly. Free breakfast that was decent. The rooms were only ok. The kind ... where you pull the comforter down and don't use it. But.. we were only in the room to sleep, so it didn't really bug us that much. The great thing was the shuttle service. It picked us up and dropped us off at the airport for free! It also took us to the closest T station for free every half hour. After 11pm you just call the hotel and they send one for you. I would suggest this hotel if you are looking for a good deal and won't spend that much time in your room.

Exceeded my expectations...
Far & Wide Oct 25, 2009
Flying from Hawaii, we needed a hotel for one night after arrival and before departure that had easy access to airport with ... shuttle service but also a hotel where there was something to do and a place to eat within walking distance. A bowling alley & arcade and restaurant were next door as well as a cute New England-style candy shop. The biggest surprise, though, was the next door restaurant (a walkway connects the two properties though they are independent of each other) - Phillips Old Colony House & Freeport Tavern. Great atmosphere and great food & lots of it at a great price.

None too cordial
Kris Oct 13, 2009
My husband arrived first - the first night he had to be moved because the toilet wouldn't flush/plumbing problems. They ... locked him out in order to get him to the front desk! Moved him to another room. When I arrived the first night they locked us out. A reservation miscommunication on their part - very rude at the front desk, like it was our fault. The room service people did a good job, but lots of slamming doors in the process, which woke us up. We've always thought very high of the Ramada - it's as shame this place didn't live up to it.

Will never stay here again
K Oct 7, 2009
By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I will never stay at a Ramada again. The bathroom had bugs on the floor, the ... electrical outlets in the room were not all connected to the wall (which is a huge code violation), the hotel is right on the highway and the noise is super loud if you are in a room against the highway. On certain TV channels you would see the picture but here the a music station, it was strange. Overall this place was terrible and I was embarrassed to have stayed there and actually did question if it was ok to sleep under the covers...never again.

Spent the night in Boston to catch a Sox game. Check in was easy and friendly, shuttle service to and from the airport, AND ... to and from the nearest subway stop. Room was a little run down, but nothing disgusting. Not really located near anything, but shuttle service made up the difference. The free hot and cold breakfast bar was a major plus in keeping costs down. Good place to go for a cheap night away from downtown, but looking back, I'd rather have spent a few extra bucks and been closer to a) Quincy or b)Fenway.

We really only needed a place to sleep. The breakfast was good on the day we ate there. The TV in the room could have been ... a little bit better. Other than that it was convenient to where our family lived which made it easy. Better directions are needed from the Exit when getting off. The roads were a little confusing the first time.

Noisy Elevator Room
PA Traveler Sep 1, 2009
We stayed in Room 318 next door to the elevator engine room. Every time someone used the elevator, a loud noise started on ... the other side of the wall, just beyond the headboard of the bed. It sounded like an electric sanding machine. The front desk personnel said all rooms were booked and they couldn't move us. When we spoke with the manager the next morning, she said "Oh yes, that's the elevator room. We've had complaints about that before. I don't know why we even put anyone in that room." We were relocated to another room for the remainder of the stay. We had to run the air conditioner fan all night because the walls are thin and noise travels from the hallway. The room with the complimentary breakfast was cramped, crowded, and poorly designed so people were bumping into each other. The hotel parking lot is accessed from a narrow frontage road that is difficult to navigate, especially if arriving at night.

There's a place in Boston called "Dick's last resort" its a nice place in the Quincy market place. The food was very good and be careful of the staff. They're all jerks, apparently that is part of their character. All the waiting staff are rude and crude to the customers in a non-vulgar way. A lot of the kids and people around enjoyed it.
--Shawn, Yonkers, NY Jul 31, 2009
Use the hotel shuttle to the subway station. Purchase a 7 day pass that gets you unlimited usage of subway, bussing and ferry for 7 days for a reasonable rate. Parking is expensive and hard to find in Boston and their public transportation is easy to use. Ask at the front desk of the hotel and they will be glad to help. Big money and time saver!!
