Unbeatable location for the price

Mrs. EGP Nov 10, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

It was a great room with a spectacular view for the best price in town. The only complaint is that upon our arrival, it was ... little hectic and the lines were long for check-in and to top it off, the hotel had not received our internet reservation so we had to wait a little longer to get a room. Other than that, everything was really nice, clean and comfortable.

Hilton is Showing it's Age

Sanchez Nov 9, 2009

This trip was booked as a package deal [...] and while checking in I was notified that I could not claim any Hilton Honors ... points for this stay due to it being a package deal. This might make me rethink this route for next year. If the Hilton wasn't so close to the convention center I would seriously consider another hotel. The rooms are showing their age in the bathrooms, carpets and amenities. Something as simple as a functional ice machine within 1/4 mile of my room would be nice.

Great as usual

Jason M. Nov 2, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

As usual, my stay at the Las Vegas Hilton was fantastic. This is a great Hilton property to stay at if you have Gold or ... Diamond status in the HHonors program. Gold and Diamond members get upgraded accommodations into a newly renovated room that has a refrigerator, health club access, and free breakfast every morning at "The Buffet". Great property with excellent staff that were very accommodating. The slots in the casino were a bit tight, do your gambling downtown on Fremont Street and you'll have a much better time.

The hotel is ok if you get a deal. We paid $99 which was not bad at all. It has the monorail located at the entrance which ... is great but other than that it's ok. Our room looked great but under further review we found somethings that needed some attention. The sheets were not that clean. The bathroom had a worn out tub and there was a hole in the bathroom cieling. The TV had basic cable. Other than that it wasn't bad if you want to go to vegas and save some money.

Not your best deal

bob Oct 26, 2009

First given one room, than switched (as they claimed for a better one ). Result was that the key did not work, so I had to ... go down for new keys. Very stressful after a long drive. On top of it, it turned out it was a room next to the elevators. Very noisy, unpleasant sounds. They should give customers earplugs along with the key. Do not disturb door tag does not mean a thing. Regarding the bonus vouchers for food, it's all scam. You have to spend over $100 for dinner for two, in order to use a $25 voucher. The hotel is quite far from the main strip, and monorail is $5 each way. No discounts on that. When you add it all up, there are better deals on the strip.

Basic Hotel

Would recommend to a friend!

Hotel was clean and simple. Not a WOW, but I didn't expect that, so I wasn't disappointed. Location ok. The Hilton has the ... monorail so that was a plus. I didn't spend much time there (busy with other plans/friends)only to sleep. It worked for me in that respect, but my next trip to LV will definitely be on the strip.

treated like VIPs

Newly wed Oct 14, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

We arrive late in the afternoon to a line for registration. The line moved quickly and we were approached by a gentleman who ... asked us about out stay. We told him we were being married on the weekend by the Chapel in their hotel. Immediately we were shown into the VIP lounge and given VIP treatment. A wonderful young women Isabella helped us on that everning and throughout our stay. We had a beautiful suite that were able to entertain all of the 30 guest that attended out wedding. Wonderful stay.

Great Place to stay

love Vegas girl Oct 13, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

I usually try to stay at the Las Vegas Hilton. It is so easy to get to and is off the crowded noisy strip. It is a first ... class hotel with easy access to anywhere via monorail. Their prices have gotten so high that I was thrilled to see the low price thru [...]. Tj's Steakhouse has the best lobster bisque and I always go there when staying at the Hilton. The Star Trek experience is fantastic.

Handicapped Accessible

Sweet Marie Oct 13, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

I was travelling with a wheelchair bound friend. I requested and was given a handicapped accessible room ( tried this at ... another casino and they would not guarantee an accessible room ). We were running late for the Barry Manilow show and were unable to check in early. Spoke to one of the night shift about this - he requested my name, told me to go on to the show and everything would be fine. HE WAS RIGHT ! After the concert, the same gentleman checked us into our room. The room was lovely, nice and spacious. Very nice bathing arrangements in the bathroom. My friend said that this was her favorite of the rooms we stayed in ( 3 hotels were involved ) while out west. She did say that the beds could have been about 6 inches shorter so as to be a bit more accessible from her wheelchair.

Recreation/Attractions tip

In Page AZ ( north rim area ) is a smooth water raft ride down the Glen Canyon. The folks at this company ( the only one allowed access to the river at this location ) could not have been more helpful. My wheelchair friend had an absolutely delightful time. I did too !

Money savers tip, Short Drive

Gamble in the older part of town. The ol Vegas. You can play a lot longer for a little. Doesnt suck you dry in a short period of time.

--Lonajean, Escondido, CA Nov 17, 2009

Money savers tip, In Hotel

The hotel has the monorail located near the main entrance. Buy the unlimited pass if you plan on visiting some of the other hotels. Taxis are an average of $10 plus tip to any other location.

Time savers tip, Short Walk

The hotel is not located directly on the strip so I would suggest buying a 3 day monorail pass if you plan on traveling to the strip everyday.

--Cierrac, Baltimore,Maryland Oct 4, 2009

Entertainment tip

If you enjoy walking bring good shoes. Or some money for monorail or buses. But The duece was very affordable. Bring exact change.

--Midfire, Port Orchard, WA. Sep 29, 2009

Dining tip

FOOD IS VERY VERY EXPENSIVE IN VEGAS NO MATTER WHERE YOU EAT.

--TERI, VIRGINIA Sep 28, 2009

Nightlife tip, Long Walk

If you don't want to be out and about then this is a great place to stay, but if you want to walk around and watch the shows and visit different casinos than stay on the strip.

--Daisy in vegas, California Sep 25, 2009

If your are looking for a new or exciting dining experience, then try Benihana's that is locate on the first floor. Kong, our chef, was great to watch cook and prepare our food on the Hibachi grill.

Money savers tip, Short Walk

The monorail station is within walking distance so if you must go to downtown - walk a few steps, buy a one day or one way ticket and save yourself a lot of money by taking the monorail vs. getting a cab

Entertainment tip, In Hotel

The hotel offers lots of entertainment options, and since it is Vegas, everything else is a short trip away. The monorail stops at the hotel so you can get around without a car or calling for taxis. Of course, it isn't free.

--John, NY Aug 11, 2009

Time savers tip

If you don't have to, take I-15 or Eastern north to avoid the strip to get to your hotel.

--PhysicsGal, Foothills Aug 9, 2009

Dining tip, Long Walk

The food deal was not very good at the hotel, anything reasonable was closed or packed and the rest were priced high
