Good hotel
Traveller 2009 Nov 17, 2009
Good hotel, close to downtown. Vicinity is nothing special (Belltown has some rundown areas), but it's five blocks or so from ... the light rail station which is an extremely convenient to come from the airport. Also close to the space needle area. Rooms were relatively clean, although not spotless.

Disappointed Oct 19, 2009
We stayed here for one night before and one night after a tour. The first night was a disaster. Street-side room meant sirens ... and traffic noises all night. Other guests coming and going, slamming doors, etc. Hotel needs some serious sound-proofing. The "queen sized" bed was NOT a queen and was remarkably uncomfortable, even for a hotel bed. As I lay awake deep into the night composing my review, all I could think was that it was only one night. The hotel was perfectly located for our needs and was inexpensive for what was supposed to be a 3-star hotel. Also did have on-site parking, which for Downtown Seattle is worth remarking upon. Would we return? Not if I can find any way to avoid it.

Bus noises right outside the windows until very late at night. Toilet running periodically (all night long). Hot water in ... sink wasn't very hot (at all!). Kept hearing neighbors (on both sides) laugh/party all night. Something sounding like acar alarm (in the garage?) kept going off periodically (two days in a row).

Nice Lobby deceives the traveler
JoMarie Aug 28, 2009
The staff at the Ramada was helpful and friendly and the lobby was very nice. Once we got up to our rooms, however, we were ... very disappointed (especially or the price). We had 2 rooms. One of them was wedged in a strange corner of the hotel and had a window the size of a bathroom window. Both rooms were in desperate need of upgrading. We could tell that the hotel management had attempted to upgrade furniture, but the rooms are so old (cottage cheese ceilings, old bathroom sinks, etc.), that the newer furniture did not make much difference. This hotel needs a construction facelift throughout. Looks like the only place this was done was in the lobby. We stayed at a high end hotel the week after and for $70 more got A+ accommodations.

The room has been remodeled, however, the ceiling and walls haven't and you can tell. The room was very muggy and smelled ... horrible. I did not feel comfortable AT ALL. There were bars on the windows and that should have been my first sign. My Fiancee and I stayed for the night, obly because we got in late. We checked out right away the next morning and went to the Warwick a block away where it was not only cheaper, but EXTREAMLY nice, especially compared to this place.

My review of Ramada Seattle Downtown

Amenities
Steven May 26, 2008
Overall, the hotel was good, especially the service, and proved to be in an especially good location for me, but in ... comparison to other Ramada Inns I have stayed at, this one immediately appeared to me to be a little run down. I was most disappointed with the business office, which consisted of one computer in the little lobby, and not even a printer! Some of this can be attributed to its cramped location--a block of space in Seattle, but I think a basic service like a printer could be provided. I note that the hotel building had wireless throughout, which I appreciated. And in general I appreciated the service and personnel.

The Ramada Inn in downtown Seattle had a nice lobby and staff. The hotel was clean but old. The room was roomy and ... comfortable but in need of an update. The location was good but not great. The room needed more clothes hangers and a bit more room to hang clothes.

Served my needs
Frederick Feb 14, 2008
Employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was smallish, but adequate for one person with a bed that was not a back ... breaker, but was not the best I have ever slept on. The resturaunt was closed when I arrived later in the evening and not yet open when I left. It served my needs for the night I needed to be in Seattle. It is a mild hike to the core business and entertainment area of Seattle, but close for the price.
