there is no restaurant or store in this hotel but breakfast is free. they need to renovate it, but i like it because it has ... microwave and refrigerator.

wanted to stay close to the Las Vegas Speedway and this was a great choice. The free breakfast was excellent from make your ... own waffles, to toast,pastries and cereal. lots of juices, tea, coffee and hot chocolate!The service was great and so close to a 24 hour Walmart if we needed anything.Quiet location

During the middle of night I heard a noice and knew that either my bathroom sink or shower had backed up! It was my bathroom ... sink and they did not have 24 hour maintenance. I asked for a refund but since I had booked the hotel thru Orbitz (prepay) there was nothing they could do. I had to use the shower water, tried to use the mirror above the sink, dropped my make-up bag into it and had to throw everything out due to the sinkful of black gunk!

Reliable wifi. Adequate exercise room and pool for workouts. Walmart within easy walking distance. If you want to be away ... from noise and bustle of casino/vacation crowds, this is a good place to stay. Best price/value that I found among motel chains in the area.

a few bugs

Chose this hotel because it's the closest (about 40 min) to Valley of Fire state park. The front desk folks were extremely ... nice, and the rooms were clean for the most part. Unfortunately my room had dead bugs (desert beetles they said), so they gave me a new one. Problem was, the new one had dead AND live bugs in it. Some people can put up with a few bugs, but not me. I checked out immediately.

If you're interested in the Las Vegas strip, stay on the strip. If you're interested in outdoor recreation, stay in Nellis, where this and other hotels are located. You'll be in the Valley of Fire boundary within a half hour.

My review of La Quinta Nellis

The La Quinta Nellis, is a relatively new hotel, with the standard amenities of two-three star hotels. The room was large ... with a desk area. Hi speed internet access was also a plus. A Wal-Mart store is directly behind the hotel. It's a bit of a distance from the strip, but just a few miles from a just opened outlet mall.

If you're interested in the Las Vegas strip, stay on the strip. If you're interested in outdoor recreation, stay in Nellis, where this and other hotels are located. You'll be in the Valley of Fire boundary within a half hour.
