The Courtyard by Marriott El Segundo hotel near Los Angeles is removed from the busy Hotel Row on Century Boulevard. It is only a ten minute complimentary shuttle ride from LAX (4:30am-11:00pm, please call the hotel for airport pick up). Our hotel near Los Angeles is located just blocks from the old-fashioned historic downtown El Segundo area. It is also near the homes of many Fortune 500 companies, such as Chevron, Mattel and Oracle. The beach is nearby and the Courtyard El Segundo is close to the 105 Freeway which takes you to downtown LA and beyond. My wife and I frequently use Los Angeles airport for our travels and frequently stay at LAX before or after our trips ... abroad. Our main issue with this hotel is with the shuttle pick up service from the airport. Most hotels at LAX we stayed at on Century Blvd have shuttles that frequently drive to and from the airport requiring no special arrangements. This hotel requires calling and requesting pick up. We called at 9.15 PM from terminal 6. At 10 PM we called again and were told the shuttle had filled up before reaching terminal 6 and had gone to the hotel. In short, 3 phone calls later and waiting 1.15 hrs at the airport (no shuttle in sight), my wife and I took a Taxi (a $17.50 flat rate). The hotel itself was clean, nice facilities and comfortable. Room did have some minor maintenance issues such as TV remote and burned out light bulb. In all a good place to stay if they could straighten out the shuttle service. As for us, based on our experience with the shuttle, we will not be staying here again.

There are two Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles LAX hotels with the same name. The only difference is the location. This one is El Segundo. Careful with the shuttle bus, we went to the wrong one.

Easy access to LAX. Key cards actually promoted wandering around the hotel...which we did and it had everything we ... needed. The laundry room was excellent, jacuzzi very nice.

very friendly staff. Our flight was very late so they gave us a late check out till 2 pm and kept our luggage at the ... reception for the afternoon. in the meantime we could walk around...there is a mall 1.6 miles away.

I only stayed for one night, and I was pretty much out during the day. But the staff was friendly and quick. Nice size rooms ... and very clean. I think one of the best things is the location near LAX yet not very noisy with airplane, and esy to get to from the freeway>

Well appointed and very pleasant, the service at LAX was inferior. The room was finally made up but we weren't left ... sufficient towels nor coffee for the a.m. Generally snippy people on the front desk.

The Marriot Courtyard in El Segundo CA was very comfortable, room was much larger than expected. The vanity area was separate ... from bathroom which made it very convenient. Provided internet access and if you do not have your own computer they have them available for your use in the Lobby area. Great pool and gazebo for relaxing while enjoying the beautiful landscape. Walking distance to restaurants and grocery store and the fact that a refrigerator is in the room we could have cold drinks in the room. Very close to Airport, however, you wouldn't know it. You cannot hear the airplanes taking off or landing in the room.

Everything seems not bad, but when night is coming there are a lots of bickers, so it is very hard to sleep. I was surprised ... that I need to pay for the breakfast 13$, but in general it is not bad place for two or three nights. with disadvantages it has also advantages. It is very close to LAX, to the Manhattan beach, and the stuff was very friendly...

nice balconies. Network in room worked. After 15 minutes waiting, called and asked what colour bus to watch for: got told ... 'will send it straight away' and friendly driver aka front desk staff came over and was very friendly. Would have been a bummer with a flat battery in cell. Basic dining easy walk away. Was grateful previous guest had a 03:50 alarm for 4:30 shuttle for 06:30 flight (which was too early for the security line the sat. Morning I went thru - food/newspaper purchase didn't start till 05:00.
