We stayed at Embassy Suites the week prior to our wedding. The stay could not have been more relaxing - the staff was very ... friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was wonderful.

The Good: great location in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast, nice facilities ... (pool, exercise room), good size room and reasonable price. [...]. The Bad: Water taps did not have hot water, heater was loud and did not put out enough heat (temp at night was mid 30's), sofa bed uncomfortable.

Don't use the Valet parking as it costs $25 per day. Park in the back where there is free public parking.

We had a two night reservation made well in advance and ended up with a view of the parking lot in the first room and asked ... for better view and then spent the first night in a room with a view of the satellite dishes. Finally got a decent view in the third room. This is Lake Tahoe - mountains etc. Staff was very unfriendly

The employees at this hotel were wonderful. Literally everyone we met (the bellman, front desk clerk, concierge, and ... valet)were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were large suites and very clean. The kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed the happy hour and breakfast that were provided.

Very nice stay for July 4th weekend. The included breakfast is awesome with tons of choices. The managers reception in ... evening was also added bonus. You can get as many free alcoholic drinks as you want (though it is stated only 2 per room keys). There is assortment of snacks like veggies, pretzels and popcorn. Donot order any food at the reception. It is horrible and so not worth the price. We had chicken sandwich with fries. It was just frozen stuff and being warmed in small electric grill. The hotel gives free pass to private beach at Lake side marina which is Ok beach. There are better beaches at Lake tahoe but this one is only 3 blocks away. Dont go to Concerige desk for any information, all they try to do is to get you attend a timeshare presentation. Overall, a very nice trip. All the staff were very friendly and helpfull.

The hotel was cool, great location and they hooked us up with passes to go to the private beach, and free breakfast. As well ... as some coupons to rent a boat. It was walking distance to everything. My only complaint is that beds were too soft for my taste. My wife and I actually slept on the floor the first night cause we both don't like soft beds. If you like soft beds then you would like the place. The room was clean and quiet and overall restfull. I would stay there again

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend away. The location was great and the room was relaxing, but I prefer a room with a ... view. Our only view was from the bedroom, and that was of Harrahs parking lot. The hotel seemed humid in the lobby, maybe from the indoor pool. The cook to order breakfast was a buffet, with an omlet bar. Ok, but not great. Overall the hotel was nice but I don't think I would stay there again. Oh, and the mandatory valet, since the don't have public parking, was a joke at $25.00 per day.

Hotel was great overall, like most Embassy Suites are. There were only two drawbacks in my opinion. One was the "concierge" ... who was more interested in pushing timeshares than assisting guests. All other staff were great. The other issue was the lighting in the main areas of the hotel. I guess they're trying to save money by keeping things dim but it made the ambiance rather dull.

We came to this hotel for a relaxing family weekend and we were so pleased with the little extras that this hotel offers. The ... free morning breakfast buffet and evening cocktail reception were both amazing and the options were very vast for being complimentary. Very close to both the Casinos and the Heavenly shopping area, so we had the best of both worlds. Planning to return again soon!
