Clean and comfortable

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Location is within walking distance of the S-Bahn so easy enough to get to places ... around the city. Was a great affordable option for a 5-star hotel in Frankfurt.

It's ok for supposed 4-stars
-light sleeper Aug 17, 2009
I had a bad time at the hotel because I could not sleep there. The exterior of the building made a constant popping noise as ... it heated and cooled with the sun which kept me up at night (light sleeper). In addition, the beds were comfy but the comforter was a large down comforter and even with the air conditioning on, both my husband and I sweated throughout the whole night. There was no shuttle service from the airport so we had to rely on a cab with our heavy bags and got swindled by one cabbie who drove us around in circles and another that attempted a sneaky bill switch-a-roo on us. I would stay at a place that not as big and closer to the downtown next time I'm in Frankfurt, if I ever have to be. Most people would probably have an alright stay at the Marriot, I wish I had chosen a smaller hotel, definitely one that is shorter and not baking and cracking in the sun all day and cracking at night as it cools. I had never experienced this at other hotels before. Food was expensive at the hotel and staff was ok. Not necessarily unfriendly, but not friendly either, just kind of cold. I believe it's geared towards conference go-ers, not couples and families.
