A horrible experience!
JD Oct 30, 2009
I was bring my girlfriend in from out of state. It was her first trip to CA. When we arrived to check in we had to find a ... hotel clerk. Upon arriving in our room, the first thing my girlfriend noticed was the ants crawling all over the bathroom floor. We requested a new room. The next room had more ants. We moved 3 times in all. Finally settling on a smoking room. In the room there was a towel. No hand towels or bathe towels. There was a coffee machine, but no pot. Every day we asked for a coffee pot... every day none was delivered. The in-house cafe had extremely limited hours as well. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in that area.

the most undesireable place ever
possm Oct 2, 2009
The first room I checked into smelled very badly of smoke and not sure what else. so I moved rooms, but really the feeling ... was very old fashioned and needs a thorough make over. The restaurant was not open for dinner and had to order from the bar, and not a lot of choice there. Three tv's going full blast and even in the lobby loud unpleasant music. I did have a return visit booked but have now cancelled it.

Ramada El Segundo
Interview traveler. Aug 28, 2009
It's an older hotel but I thought the waterfall was charming. It's best days have passed but if you can live with an older ... hotel, it's actually not that bad. The proximity to LAX is a big plus. The pool was clean. We have an 18 month old girl so we did a thorough inspection. The restaurant was a little short on menu items for dinner but I liked the chicken quesadilla. The exercise room had a couple step machines and a bike. The weight machine had for shoulder, back, and chest if you move things 'round right. The room had older equipment but it worked fine for me.

Really not that bad...
Bigtwan1976 Aug 7, 2009
I am pretty much new to all this staying at a hotel thing. When I usually fly somewhere, I tend to have a family member or ... friend that stays in that city, and I lodge with them. Before the trip, I read all the negative comments about this hotel and was very hesitant, it is not that bad. Then again, I am easily pleased. The hotel is located right next to the highway, and about 10-15 minutes from airport, so yes there is some noise. Just not enough that I could not sleep. The AC worked, but I had to switch rooms withing 30 minutes of arrival. The unit was leaking. I am a walker, so I did not rent a car. If you have a car, you will like this hotel, because you literally drive out the parking lot and the entrance to highway is there. The staff helped me out with directions, and also arranged a great tour with VIP Tours to see LA. This is not a bad hotel. It seems to be a project someone is working on though. I am sure, if I were to return in a year or 2, there would be some changes...

Don't waste your money
Missing Luxury Jul 27, 2009
First of all, the hotel is in a bad neighborhood,so while you could easily walk to the neighboring restaraunts, you really ... shouldn't or else you'll encounter thugs. The staff ( and by staff i mean the ONE guy who mans the front desk) isn't friendly at all. I'm not sure if its because he's here by himself but she was very curt and not helpful at all. The rooms are filthy as well. The carpet in my room had sticky spots because I guess the housekeeper neglected to thoroughly scrub down, and I found numerous ants crawling all over the place. The think i hated most about this hotel was that the shuttle to the airport ran on a limited schedule, so you either had to arrive at the airport extremely early for your flight, or you just had to take a cab. I say you should just spend the extra money and book a night at a real three star hotel. It's worth it!

Good place to stay for the price. A little farther from places than I would have liked, but close to the airport. ... Disappointed in the shuttle service, as my departing flight was 6:30am, but the shuttle service does not start until 6am, which I discovered that morning. Also, limited channel selection, about 10 channels. When I tried to rent a movie in my room, the tv did not work properly and I never was able to get it to work. The supposedly heated pool was freezing, and there was poor lighting at night.
