The Arctic Doubletree Hotel
Brucek Nov 22, 2009
The hotel was helpful even before I got there advising how best to get there from the Amtrak station by phone. Reception was ... responsive, helpful with day tour bookings, maps, and getting around details and suggestions. The room I had was palatial, immaculately clean and almost sound-proof with every convenience you could want. The bed was also exceptionally comfortable. My best hotel experience ever.

Beautiful downtown hotel
Urban traveler Oct 16, 2009
The hotel appeared to be recently renovated. Our room was quite lovely, larger than I expected, and very comfortable. Nice ... bed and very nice bathroom. The hotel has a decent restaurant and a nice lobby bar. The location wasn't as good as I'd hoped. yes it's downtown, but it's really the wrong end of downtown, and Pioneer Square, which is just to the south, is a sketchy area with few restaurants (despite what our tourbook said).

Our favorite restaurant on this trip was Purple, just a few blocks north on 4th Avenue. It's a wine bar in a giant, modern space with an extensive menu. Very cool.

ELEGANT HOTEL

Just an overnight between trains, but what a great find!!! This is a 100 year old former Gentlemen's Club, beautifully ... restored and now run by Doubletree. Just as we were leaving the Director of Customer Services took us up to the Dome Room, unbelieveable architecture. We highly, highly recommend this hotel!

Arctic Club Double Tree Downtown Seattle

We enjoyed Downtown Seatlle as a vacation spot but the rooms are no where near how big they show in the pictures. So much ... smaller that I had to call them on mis-representing based on there price!?
