Only four LONG blocks from Moscone Center, but four or so shorter blocks to the Montgomery BART station, quite convenient, ... nice restaurants nearby but not in the thick of things. Keycard didn't work first time, no wireless internet in room but they provide an Ethernet cable for free high-speed access. Room small, but with a king bed and large flat screen HD LG TV, nice shower. Really cheap [...]Nice staff, including bellman.

Wonderful place
southern california family mom Aug 24, 2009
Courtyard Marriot was an excellent place. I was not expecting much for a 3 star hotel but the place exceeded my expectations ... for a 3 star. I will definitely return to this place. It was very clean, quiet, great location, and very friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel to travellers. Parking was expensive though at almost 50$/night but I think that's the way it is everywhere in San Francisco. Our tour bus guide mentioned that San Francisco's number one source of income is parking!!!

3 cheers for Courtyard Marriott
cookierel Jun 25, 2009
This location is primely located for Financial District buildings and museums, and Union Square shopping. It is also a mere ... 3 blocks from the BART train, and Muni buses, trains and trolley. The Hotel staff was friendly and responsive. We arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check out time, but they were able to put us in a room immediately. We had a number of special requests and they came up right away to respond. Also, I had a business emergency and they sent and received many faxes for me free. My only complaint was that they charged $6 to receive a FedEx package.

The hotel was nice, clean, and staff friendly but the hotel was downtown and traffic was really bad during the week days. If ... you are there to vacation and do not have business in the area I would recommend a different part of town. There were not a lot of restaurants in walking distance especially for breakfast.

Great downtown location and good value for ammenities. Parking is way too steep $40 plus per day and during a two day stay I ... had to have my room card reset 3 times because my blackberry kept demagnetizing it. Not convenient when at the pool with no ID! I've not had that problem at other hotels.

Nice place!
Chicago Gal Mar 3, 2009
We decided to jump on this great last-minute deal from orbitz. The price was right! We picked the flights that worked best ... for us and we had a few options for hotels too. Since this was our first time to SAN FRAN we really didn't know the best places to stay. We chose the Courtyard Mariott since it had good reviews and a good location (per other reviews). It's a clean hotel and pretty quiet. There is not many food options in the hotel itself but the Starbukcs was great in the morning. There were quite a few cafes, delis, and restaurants near the hotel. I think there was a liquor store right across the street too. The have a small bar to have a cocktail and just hang out with out going out of the hotel. The bartender was great unfortunately I forgot her name. the hotel is not right in the heart of the downtown area but it was close to everything. A few blocks from: Market Street, the Ferry Building, and the main transportation. I would definitely stay here again. In short, it's not a luxurious hotel but it was clean and comfortable. Oh the wireless internet was great! Other hotels charge you per day but this was complimentary. Also they have a computer in house to use for flight check in, etc.
