Would recommend to a friend!

Our trip was for a quick getaway with our 20 mo. old daughter. We called in to confirm a late arrival (after 11:00 p.m.). ... When we arrived, they knew exactly who we were. They stated that they would have to do a manual charge to my card. The gent at the desk asked if I knew how much the charge was per night and then stated, "I will hook you up." Well, I was pleasantly surprised when the "hook up" saved us on our bill. The rooms were clean, with no odor. The carpet did need to be steam cleaned which I notified the desk about upon check-out. They apologized right away. The maid service was great. It was very quiet and nicely taken care of. The water access behind the pool was a pleasant surprise. My 20 mo. old did not like the beach (afraid of the waves). When we entered the water behind the hotel, there were no waves, but just as clear as can be. She had a great time. She also found lots of live crabs to bring home. We had a great time and would go back again.

Would recommend to a friend!

I was very pleased with this hotel. It is 5 minutes from the beach and close to shopping. The room was very big and clean, ... and the staff was very friendly. My only advise is that it is cheaper if you call the hotel instead of booking with orbitz on this one.

Staying at the hotel was ok and I will never ever book with orbitz again because when I got there the guy at the desk said ... that i only have the room for one night when i actually booked it for four nights. I called orbitz and they realized the mistake and they could get me a room for the same price but it was 6 more miles from the beach and that was unacceptable. I payed in advance to be fairly close to the beach so I wouldn't have to fight the traffic to the beach. The hotel didn't have any rooms available for me because they were sold out for the Blue Angels Air show on the beach weekend. I ended up staying at the comfort inn across the street from the beach and I had to pay $740 to stay at this hotel on top of the $400 i payed to orbitz and I spent 3 hours on on my cell phone arguing with orbitz supervisors and orbitz refused to book at the next closest hotel which is what your supposed to do because i have worked at a hotel in my local area. Orbitz wanted to book me at a hotel with equal room rates as the one i originally booked at. I'll say it again DO NOT EVER BOOK YOUR TRIP WITH ORBITZ THEY WILL SCREW UP YOUR TRIP!

Doesn't Honor 3rd Party Reservations

I booked a reservation thru Orbitz only to get to the Bayview Inn Resorts which use to be called Quality Inn. The manager ... lied as I stood there pretending to search for my reservation. He said he was not able to find it. I had the confirmation number on print out and name. Anyway, He was trying to inflate rates as I stood there. I had to take a room that he had and got billed twice because he wouldn't honor the 3rd party reservation. He told me to take it up with Orbitz. Which after I came back home, I took it up with Orbitz only to find out too that this Hotel lied and said I never had a reservation with them which I had the bill in hand and the hotel claim number. Orbitz wonderful agents knew something was wrong and this Hotel was not being honest. Orbitz did refund me my money but I tell you what, I will not be doing anymore business with BayView Inn Resorts in Gulf Breeze, Flordia. They are under new management and this manager is ONLY there for the MONEY. He is dishonest. He will surely reap what he has sown.

As bad as it Gets!

First off hotel said they did not have a room for me because Orbitz had "overbooked" my room. After a battle of 45 minutes ... and a phone call to Orbitz they finally gave me a room. But the room they gave me had an air conditioner that was only blowing hot air, no telephone, wet carpet, no remote control, etc. All of my complaints to front desk and management were ignored. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place no matter the cost.

Double charge NIGHTMARE

At first we arrived to the place and thought that it was the perfect location: Close to the mainland, close to pensacola ... beach. Right in the middle. First foul: check in is 3:00 PM, check out 11:00 AM, which is kind of weird. Then, the ads on internet say Microwave, fridge, wireless internet and aquatic sports. The room we got was facing the parking lot, so, no fridge, no microwave, no internet. When we asked why? the answer was simple "customres stole them" Aquatic sports: none. We got charged by orbitz for the first night. After I checked in, they asked for my card and CHARGED IT AGAIN!!! for the same night. I specifically asked the guy that seemed to be the manager, this receipt does not mean that I am being charged again is it? and his answer was: "no sir. It is just a receipt that says you already paid." Still, after two weeks I am still waiting for the reimbursment of that, I 've talked to every employee in the hotel. I've talked to orbitz several times. Last I am dealing with is orbitz refunding me that money, without taxes!!! so I lost (aside from orbitz fees) 7.00 dollars in an administrative mistake made by somebody else. Do you still want to go there?

Hotel Had No Idea

The hotel did not have our reservations and were triple booked. We had to give them a printout of our Orbitz confirmation ... email before they would give us a room. We went to spend some time at the beach. The beds were uncomfortable. The staff, however, were very friendly.
