i enjoyed my stay however, my boyfriend asked for the bathroom floor to be mopped. It was never done!He even gave the house ... keeping a tip to do it. I also drank water from a wine glass that was left in my room for three days. That is terrible. We were bothered at least four times due to a smoke alarm due to overheated showers.

Stylish and comfortable
Sv Nov 26, 2009
Modern style with a comfortable feel. The rooms are great and the shower makes you want to stay another night. It was a noisy ... at night when the partying croud is going home from a night of clubing and parked at the parking garage next to the building. The dinning area is nice and all of the staff was wonderful but the food can use a makeover. Hashbrowns from a hotel such as this should not look like the cook ran across the street to mcdonalds to serve as a breakfest piece. If you improve the food quality you will have one hell of a hotel. Yes I would stay here next time I visit long beach. The hotel also offered great beach side running acess.

Don't spend the daylight anywhere around ocean and pine. The places here are dead during the day. I would head down the beach line to 2nd street.

Great Hotel for Couples!
Azamora Oct 26, 2009
It was my boyfriend's 21st birthday and I decided to surprise him with the Avia. I research ALOT of hotels in Long Beach, ... preferrably because I live in Long Beach and didn't want anything far from home but also because of that I HAD to get something good or it would be a waste of money! The Avia Hotel is beautiful! I was surprised how well they structured the place! The walk in showers are AMAZING with the swivel tv, and EXTRA comfy king size bed! They went all out on this place to give it a good feel to the guests. Once my boyfriend and I unpacked we headed to the pool. It was the best part of the hotel. At night you have a whole view of the Queen Mary and Harbor. Also a little bit of the night life in Downtown LB. The pool looked like a scene out of a movie. Lit up and heated to body temperature on a fall night. My boyfriend had the time of his life and we are actually planning to go there sometimes just as a little vacation from home every so often! Thank you Avia!

Make sure to have $7 bucks for parking.... don't worry, you could go in and out of the parking structure all you want for one flat fee. =)

We asked for a LOCAL Italian Restaurant (Mom and Pop) and they sent us (with great directions) to a fabulous place.
