Great deal

This was a family mini vacation over Thanksgiving. Staff was very nice and pleasant. The Concierge was very helpful to find ... a beach and get us down toward Mission Beach area.

We flew into San Diego airport and proceeded to the zoo, but did not want to eat at the zoo. So we took a turn into the local golf course and ate at the club house. This was and older establishment, but the burgers were a hit with my 4 kids (10-17). And the price was right and we had a lovely view of San Diego and the ocean. Couldn't beat it for the price/view and food and service. So before you take the left for the zoo, make a right and go up to the old style clubhouse at the golf course. You won't be disappointed. My kids wanted to come back and try breakfast!

My husband and I were staying for our anniversary. The hotel was nice, but despite their best efforts, the place still has a ... 70's vibe to it. The restaurants/bars are very expensive and you are far from any other dining options. A bit too remote for us. The staff was helpful and friendly. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Would recommend it for golfers and weddings....

Beautiful grounds. Extremely well maintained and creative gardens. Walls between rooms thin allowing noise next door. ... Staff was extremely supportive in changing rooms to a quiet location.

My review of Rancho Bernardo Inn - Golf & Spa Resort
Stephen Jan 1, 2009
Stayed here with friends for the Holiday Bowl. The hotel grounds and buildings are beautiful....even in the winter. We were ... moved three times before we got a room. Rooms are very nice. Spent a lovely New Year's Eve in the Veranda Restaurant enjoying a 5-star dinner. Will definitely stay again.

Great place to stay if you have time to stay and enjoy all the ammenities
Stephen Dec 29, 2008
My personal experience was of short duration. We checked in at 4PM, left the hotel at 4:30PM for a family gathering and ... didn't return back to around 11:30 PM. Up and out by 8:30 AM. This didn't leave much time for exploring the hotel and all that it had to offer. I will look forward to a return visit when we have time to enjoy all that this fine resort has to offer.

Great weekend getaway
Heather Dec 28, 2008
The property was very beautiful. Our check-in was delayed several hours because according to the front desk manager everyone ... the night before decided to stay longer in their rooms then they should have and they could not get the rooms cleaned fast enough. We got to the property at 3 and were not allowed to check in until about 6:30. That was a real bummer since we just wanted to relax and our time at the hotel was limited to begin with. The rooms were beautiful (my family had a total of 3 rooms) but none of the mini-refrigerators were working so the beverages were hot, our heater did not work, and none of the bathtubs had working drain stoppers. The bar staff was horrible, several parties in the bar just got up and left because they were not being helped. Other than that the breakfast at the Veranda was delicious, the view was great, and we would definitely come back.

service not consistent
Maria Christina Dec 9, 2008
Service was not consistent. In room service, phone service were good, but housekeeping cleaning were not good. Didn't throw ... away trash, towels and toilettries we're incomplete, didn't clean up my in room dining. I requested for late check out w/c was great. But someone came in my room, after knocking a few times, I was still nude. I was so disappointed. She was not notified of my late check out. Double lock must be placed in rooms for extra privacy.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in for a long time
Kristopher Aug 11, 2008
You definitely get your money's worth with this hotel, The first thing you notice is the buildings, Each one looks like it ... is straight out of an Italian vineyard poster. When I opened my door my girlfriend and I were amazed at the gorgeous layout of the room and the incredible cleanliness. I ordered room service and it was very quick to bring dinner, the food was great and the over all stay was a very memorable experience that neither of us will forget. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
