Not a place for the working class !
skywatcher Jul 3, 2009
This place was very expensive for the average traveler. In addition to the hight prices ($6 for coffeevia room service) there ... were the following unexpected costs: $30 parking fee (we were there less than 18 hrs.) and $25 for resort fees which cover walking on the trails....? whether one walks on them or not .

Beautiful property, still a few bugs to
Vacationer Jul 2, 2009
We loved the beautiful property and couldn't ask for a nicer room or location. However, one day we went to breakfast and ... when we returned the maid was in our room. We left and walked the grounds for an hour and came back and she still wasn't done. So we left again, came back after another hour, and the room was not ready, her cart was in our room, but she wasn't, yet the door was left ajar! So we found her (she spoke no english) but communicated that she'd finish quickly so we waited 15 minutes in the hallway and when we went back in after she left we found that she had not replenished any of the essentials, nor emptied the trash or taken the dirty towels. We called her back in and she corrected everything very politely, but we felt we wasted a whole morning. We also were disappointed that while the hotel offers self-park and valet, they offer valet only (no self-park) if you are an overnight guest. HUH? So we paid the extra money for valet as well as had to tip every time we used our car. Don't offer self-park if you aren't going to allow guests to use it! There were a couple other inconveniences (we waited 1 1/2 hrs for 2 forks to be brought to our room, though after 1/2 hr my husband went to the restaurant and got them himself (an hour after that some were brought to our room). Also, our in-room coffee pot didn't work properly, so we had to request (2x) a new one. Fitness Ctr is great, but one morning no one was in attendance so there was no water and guests had to let each other in the room as doors were locked. I don't know how the first guest got in there (??) (Other times the Fitness Ctr was well attended.) Having said all that, we still had a wonderful stay and think the resort is absolutely gorgeous. Perhaps a little more time to work out the kinks and it'll be perfect.
