Reno Adventure

We had a great time on our Reno adventure and the hotel worked out fine. The staff were helpful. The casino bar was properly ... funky and filled with characters though we were mostly passing through to purchase $1 budweisers that we could bring up poolside. This hotel worked very well for our group even though it is a bit away from downtown, but still walkable though you might not want to do it late at night.

We stayed for 6 nights. New owners are improving hotel. Rooms need to be renovated. Security was visable in the parking area. ... Safe walking one mile to Virginia Ave. during the day, but not at night. Employees were cleaning trash from parking lot and lobby was very clean and comfortable. Walking distanse to resturants but not stores. One corner store was a ripoff and full of smoke.

J Off the strip but close to the fun!
Mrs. Garcia Aug 13, 2009
Husband and I went to "Hot August Nights" and decided to stay off the strip (Virgina Street) so we wouldn't have to worry ... about too much crowds.. It was a perfect location off the strip.. only a few blocks away. We drove to Reno so we had our own vehicle so we could drive to the action when we felt ready. Also there was a 'Carrows' restaurant about a block away from the Ramada.. First time we ate there.. Perfect for breakfast and nice staff! The rooms were basic.. Beds cozy.. Nothing special.. Just wish they would have had ashtrays in the room (it was a smoking room) We didn't play much at the casino downstairs.. But it was quite cute and had a nice selection of slots! I'd stay here again.. Next time we will bring our son!

Remote Location but Nice Room
NN Aug 10, 2009
Went for Hot August Nights 2009. Good pricing and had room availability at the time of booking. Rooms are sometimes ... difficult to find for this week. Room was spacious, look newly re-done, bathroom very nice but every morning the 6AM train went by and was a fair amouth of traffic noise coming through the window. Had OK coffee shop and tiny casino. Would recommend for HAN because are usually rarely at the hotel except to sleep.

Travelin Fool Jun 29, 2009
The hotel was easy to find and checking in and out was smooth. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was ... very clean but it was almost impossible to take a shower without getting a lot of water on the floor. Don't waste your time at their restaurant. Limited menu and the food was just OK. The casino was quite smokey but the people who worked there were friendly.
