Beautiful
Ciney Nov 3, 2009
We stayed on the 8th fl and had a super view of the Potomac River. The Room was absolutely the very best part. Very clean, ... neat, and you could tell it was NEW. The shower was beautiful. It could fit two, and had a frosted glass wall that showed through into the bed room area&.(lol) The soaps, and body wash was great too. The room reminded me of Ikea, very contemporary. The lounge area down stairs is a cool spot to hang out at. DJ, Bar, and tons of lounge space.

Great place to party
Pas Sep 14, 2009
I booked this room in celebration of my friend's birthday. We heard that this was agreat place for us to leat our hair ... down. Excellent facilities. The staff was very hospitable and willing to out of their way to accomodate the guests. The rooms will appeal to those with kitchy sense of asthethics. There is an excellent bar area w/pool and board games for those who want to take it easy. There is also an outdoor patio that sports a fire pit w/cushioned rest areas as well as easy access to the swimming pool. The only complaints I have would be limited storage for your belongings, internet that did not work in my room, ice machine available on only two of the floors and the cable was limited. All in all though, me and my friends had a wonderful stay and I am looking forward to returning to the hotel. Especially since the penthouse renovations should have a great view of the harbor.

It was a great stay! Fairly clean (not spotless) and I really like the loft feeling. The staff was friendly and one of the ... members even left the hotel just to give us a jump for our car battery...not that's service!

The restaurant next door (also elevator in hotel takes you there) had great food. Restaurant name is Ketchup!

Wow!!!

Unfortunately, we arrived later than we'd planned so we weren't able to do as much as we'd liked to have. However, the hotel ... was breathtaking with great atmosphere and excellent service. We visited on a weeknight but were advised to come again during the weekend in order to partake of the "full experience." I will go back and I'll recommend the hotel to my friends and family!!

Amazing location
Annikay Jun 21, 2009
We are traditionally late-diners. Often that leaves our only option pizza delivery, however, not this trip. There are ... several places that serve until late in the evening so we had plenty of options. Also, we traveled with our dog. Although there is a weight limit which may prohibit others from doing so, the area is very dog friendly and the doggie check-in pack was great. We got up to our room and there was even a pillow for our pooch. We were very impressed with everything, especially since they have only been operational for a couple months.

Still new
J & H Jun 3, 2009
An odd set-up going through the "front door", I would say confusing to most people the first time. So much concrete that it ... feels cold. You might be surprised, as we were, that you have to pay to park. Your great big windows have No view! If you are coming to the area to visit Washington, you will be dissappointed in how difficult it is to get there. I would recommend staying in Alexandria or Springfield instead, where you can more easily access the Metro. Otherwise its new and clean.

My friend and I were there for leisure purposes, and I really like the "lounge-feel" of the hotel; nothing I had really ... experienced before, which made our stay much more enjoyable. I think the "worst" part was that the parking wasn't complimentary for guests and you could only include one car with your stay.

My hotel experience at the Aloft Hotel
DC Flash May 21, 2009
I truly loved the location, appearance, parking garage was within walking distance. The registration staff and the young man ... who helped me with my bags (they don't have valet service) was friendly and helpful. Through no fault of their own lightening caused the electriticy to be off for several hours. The problem I really had was the next day after hours of no lights, the fire alarm went off, there was no audio alarm to indicate "fire"/"false alarm" or other at 6:27am!!! I called front desk in a panic mode, ready to run out in my pajamas and she said, "oh it was an accident, the workers accidentally triggered the alarm"!!!. It was blasting for quite a while. I told her it would have been nice to have made an announcement that it wasn't a real fire. Based on my 'excitement' of the alarm, I called down to request a late check out, which I was obliged for a 2:00pm check out time. At 9:30am, the cleaning staff came by knocking loudly on the door, I told her, late check out! At 11:25am, a supervisor came by to tell me that check out time was at 11:00am, I told him I had requested a late check out, then I laid back down. At 12:00pm 'another' cleaning person came to the door, knocked and was about to enter the room, I got up - told her I had a 2:00pm check out. Then to top it off at approximately 12:30pm another gentleman came to the door, knocking harder "with authority"! When I went to the door, he said, "oops, I see here that you have a 2:00pm check out!!!!! By that time I was very unhappy. I registered a complaint at the desk and told her about the 4 people coming back and forth to my room, knocking, trying to enter the room and I had a late check out. I told her she needed to speak with her housekeeping staff in the future. Other than that!!!! I for sure would stay at the Aloft Hotel again when I am in DC.

A wonderful weekend
tjtg May 8, 2009
While I was there I did some light shopping but for the most part I stayed at the hotel enjoying the activities there. The ... only thing that I didn't like about my stay was that it didn't look like they had an ice machine. This was one of my best trips of this year.
