Hotel Andaluz is a full service boutique hotel, formerly known as La Posada de Albuquerque. The hotel was built in 1939 and was Conrad Hilton's first hotel in his native state of New Mexico. The hotel has undergone an extensive 30 million dollar renovation and will re-open as Hotel Andaluz in October 2009. The hotel's new name Andaluz is derived from Andalucia, the Spanish region that inspired the architecture and the design for this property. From the relaxing Lobby Library, featuring local and national newspapers, magazines and periodicals and books on various topics, to the Lobby Casbahs own private booth setting with lounge service available.
