A Great, Green Stay
missleigh Nov 19, 2009
Everyone on staff was very friendly and gracious. They have by far the best pool and fitness center I've used in Seattle. I ... loved that attention to limiting their impact on the environment is part of every detail and yet nothing frees granola-crunchy. I will definitely return. A great hotel stay!

Satisfied in Seattle

This was a return visit to Seattle for me as I've been down a number of times over the last few months. This was my first ... stay at this particular hotel and I have to say it exceded my expectations by far. I was travelling with two other friends and we all agreed, everything was top notch from the fitness centre and pool to the restaurant and most importantly, the rooms. It was a bonus for me to learn that the building earned them a LEED Silver certification. Way to go Hyatt.

Peaceful in Seattle

Our time in Seattle was very enjoyable. Not only because of the city itself, but because of our stay at the Hyatt at Olive ... 8. First, the hotel and our room was extremely clean and well-maintained. The overall look and feel of the hotel is modern and swanky. The staff was very accomadating, as well as providng excellent customer service. The hotel restaurant Urbane, has fresh ingredient, wonderful service, and appealing decor. The Hyatt at Olive 8 is worth the added cost for a great hotel experience.

The hotel was in a wonderful location. In the center of everything. Didn't need to rent a car. All was in walking ... distance(for those who love to walk). My husband and i walked to the Space Needle, Quest Stadium, Pike Place Market(3days n a row-great spot),we even caught a jazz set at Jazzalley(Dr John).(got tickets at the door). The room service food not good. Tried it twice and was disappointed both times. No problem. Restaurants were everywhere.

The location was excellent. My friends and I took the bus from the airport and the bus stop was located one block away from ... the hotel. Check in was quick. The staff was really friendly. The room was great. The only thing that was weird to me was the housekeeping staff knocked on the door every morning, asking me when I am leaving the room. I guess she wanted to clean, but still, I thought that was kind of rude and weird. But overall, excellent location, can't beat it. mins away from monorail, shopping, eating, pike's market.

Great location in downtown Seattle
Working Mom Aug 10, 2009
My 11-year old daughter and I stayed here for a week's vacation. We easily walked everywhere or took public transportation. ... Anything you might need is within 3 blocks. We were sick the first day and had to stay in. We were very comfortable and the staff directed me to the nearest pharmacy 3 blocks away when I needed one. The room was beautiful, spacious, and spotless. Gym and pool were first-class. Restaurants' food and service outstanding. There was a fridge in the room but we had to manage without internet; it's $10 extra for every 24-hour period. The service was impeccable except for one incident. One day housekeeping did not properly shut the door. We were horrified when we arrived at end of day to find the door open and found floors and bathroom sink carelessly left unclean. The housekeeping supervisor was extremely sympathetic and apologetic and offered to have the room refreshed immediately, promising it wouldn't happen again and we would have someone different clean the room. His attitude was all I really needed to appease my concern, but nothing would have helped if we'd found anything missing. I felt comforted by the fact that we used the safe. Must have been one bad apple on the housekeeping staff. Other than that, staff were outstanding, friendly, helpful, informative etc. Service here was as good as can be found at any 5-star hotel anywhere in the world.

Other neighborhoods are a short walk away... OK we like to walk.. so short means 10-20 minutes. But you can get up to Capitol Hill, down to Pike Place, over to Pioneer Square and the stadia as well as all the way to Lake Union from this super cool location. It's like a whole new section of the city has opened up.

The bed was very comfortable and the rooms are super! The walls are thin, you could hear your neighbor cough and the ... housekeeping staff was really loud early (8:00 a.m.) in the morning. We also had a delay when checking in after 4:00 p.m. due to housekeeping. However, overall the hotel was very nice and in a great location. We would stay there again!!
