Nice, quiet and comfy

The room was very nice, clean and quite. The white thick wooden blinds and bamboo-like lined mirrors gave the rooms a beachy ... feel. We even enjoyed the nice artwork on the walls which is rare with hotels. The only problem we had was inconsistency of service. Some employees were outstanding but on some days we would come across a few that were a little short with us. Some didn't speak English which is OK unless you're a waiter and must be able to take orders or explain menu items. While the breakfast buffet is delicious and easy to access it is also 17.90 each which they don't tell you until you stand up to leave.

Hotel needs updating otherwise okay. Upon checking in they did not have the connecting rooms as we requested and did not have ... us in golf view rooms though we paid for view. Fortunately had the rooms we paid for still available and corrected the problem. No concierge available for sightseeing questions or tickets. Restaurant breakfast was expensive and not worth it. Recommend eating outside hotel. No fridge or microwave in rooms, no self laundry room on premises-both inconvenient when traveling with kids. Valet employee was extremely nice, cheerful and helpful. Hotel desk was not so cheerful. Location was great for sightseeing, had no trouble getting to Disneyland, Hollywood, Burbank areas. Overall okay if sighseeing all day and using it just to sleep as we did - Nothing special to do at hotel unless you plan to golf. Glad we got discounted rate not worth full price in my opinion could have stayed at a much cheaper place since there were no great amenities.

If you walk outside hotel turn left go up hill there is a nice shopping center with many bagel and breakfast eateries, highly recommend instead of very expensive hotel restaurant breakfast.

The hotel pictures look ALOT better than in person..While the location is excellent, the hotel itself can benefit from major ... upgrading to make it a TRUE MARRIOTT! The rooms are not up to Marriott's standards and are small. The lobby is decent looking but needs major upgrading as well! The golf course is desperate for a manicure and upgraded amenities as well! The hotel does offer free wireless internet access in the lobby area ONLY, which is convenient. Hotel is surrounded by alot of shopping/restaurants.
