A nice clean hotel and good location

Here are the highlights: 1) The location appeared to be safe and within a short walk of a variety of restaurants. 2) Ample ... (free) parking. 3) Continental breakfast is included and had a good variety: fresh waffles, yogurt, bananas & apples, juice, hard boild eggs, bagels, cereal, etc... 4) Spacious and clean room: fairly modern. 5) Polite staff. 6) There is a small coin operated laundry room (2 washers and 2 dryers). Very helpful if you're spending a few days. The only downside is that one of the dryers didn't work.

We checked into a very nice room on the 17th of September at the LaQuinta/Addison, Texas. We parted the room approximately ... 5:00 - 6:30 pm for dinner. Upon our return, we remained in the room for the rest of the evening. Because my husband and I had an early call the next morning for a surgical procedure, we retired for the evening about 10:00 pm. Several times right after the lights were off, it felt like something was "crawling on my shoulders". After several bouts of this sensation, I turned the lights back on, pulled the bed sheets, and found a colony of "pharoh ants" under the covers at the foot of the bed. I immediately called the night manager at the LaQuinta and requested a different room, which he was not very releuctant to do. After changing rooms from 11:30 - 12:00 am, we only attained 4 hours of sleep. The next morning during the checkout procedure, I voiced my dissatisfaction with the early morning supervisor. I requested a refund of the prepaid total my son applied to his credit card. The supervisor stated that he would have to speak to his direct supervisor. Being dissatisfied with his reply, I again asked for a cash refund instead. Despite the attendants hesitant reaction, a full cash refund was received. As for orbitz being the representative contractive lodging elaison, SHAME ON YOU FOR NOT PROCTERING YOUR PROPERTIES MORE CAREFULLY! WHAT HAPPENED COULD HAVE HAD SERIOUS ALLERGIC MEDICAL CONSEQUENCES HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR HAVING ALLERGY MEDICATION AVAILABLE. YOU REALLY SHOULD GIVE MY SON A FULL CREDIT REFUND AS EXPEDIENTLY POSSIBLE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE INSUED BY MY HUSBAND AND I. YOUR INABILITY TO DO SO WILL ONLY PROOVE ORBITZ DOES NOT WISH TO EXUDE THE UTMOST IN "CUSTOMER SERVICE". IF THIS IS THE CASE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE IN SERVICE TO REPRESENT THE TRAVELING PUBLIC? Clean, quiet, good breakfast, pleasant atmosphere, dozens of restaurants closeby. The only downer was the day I checked out ... and walked to my car to find police investigating the vehicle next to me that had been broken into the night before. It was surprising, since the neighborhood is upscale.

This hotel is somewhat old in age but kept up pretty well. For the price and the location you can't beat it. It is located in ... the heart o shopping, dinning and entertaiment. The hotel staff was friendly and the breakfast has a wide range of choices for the entire family.

The La Quinta Inn & Suites- Dallas Addison-Galleria was a very nice hotel for our business trip. I actually forgot my I-Pod ... in the hotel the morning of my flight home. I am very pleased to report the cleaning staff located my I-Pod & the hotel mailed it to me very promptly. That, alone, would compel me to recommend the hotel to others. The rooms were traditionally equipped. The beds were comfortable and the table provided a nice work space. The breakfast was a continental with more options than many of this type. I was also very pleasantly surprised by the new fitness equipment that included a treadmill, stair machine, free weights & bicycle.

La Quinta Inn & Suites Dallas Addison-Galleria, DALLAS, TX Upon arriving to this hotel I noticed the abundance of ... restaurants/bars in the area. Just two blocks away there was a 24hour cafe serving a wide variety of dishes, I believe the name was cafe brazil. The room itself was clean, with two beds, and had basic amenities such such cable, wireless, desk, and an outdoor swimming pool however they did not have shuttle service to the airport (lovefield or DFW). The bathroom was also clean and well maintained. I appreciated the large windows in the room which let in a lot of sunlight. Overall it was a positive experience. Check-out was also very easy, I just had to make a brief call to the front desk to authorize the billing. The room was basic but comfortable and clean.

This was a well run, clean hotel. The staff was professional, and checkin was well organized. The breakfast options were ... vaired and the quality was good. There were some teen or youth groups that were staying there also, but they got quiet and tended to stay in their rooms. Good value.
