Nice hotel, clean, quiet, and comfortable with exception to the room feeling slightly damp from the a/c when we first got ... there. Would have liked to have a small fridge for drinks and didn't have an ice machine on our floor but that is about all I could complain about. Loved the themed decor!

Not what I hoped for!
not impressed Aug 3, 2009
I have stayed at the Double Trees before and loved it. This experience was not good. The beds weren't as comfortable as at ... prior hotels. We had reservations for a specific room however they were all full and the rooms need updated painting and maintence. The wall lamp had loose bolts and the chair's material was torn. A room card must be used to access the elevator. However if your key card is too close to a credit card or phone it deletes your access. Room service doesn't exist you must walk to the restaurants located in front of the hotel to pick up your food! They don't tell you that when you place your order. Looking for a pool side room? The pool is outside so your rooms only overlook the pool. Location is good if you want to be in the middle of the Disney crowd otherwise book a hotel further East! Streets are busy at night and quiet during the day. I wouldn't stay here again. It was not worth the money!

Not the Best

The air conditioner did not cool our room and we were not the only patrons that complained, they sent a maintenance man to ... work on it while we were out but it still not not cool properly. There was not hot water only warm water. When I stayed at the castle a few years ago, I loved it but this time it was very disappointing.

Great location, service, and price!!!
Stevie Jun 13, 2009
They have a heated pool, which I loved. The staff was wonderful. They also give you some delicious cookies when you check in. ... The rooms were very clean. They have comfy beds and a nice shower. BIG towels. I was very satisfied with everything. The only thing I would say is they need a free continental breakfast. The breakfast was very pricy. Everything else was WONDERFUL!!!

Adequate hotel
Eddie Aug 20, 2008
The Double Tree Castle was adequate. The swimming pool was not conducive for swimming; the large statue in the middle ... made it impossible for anyone to swim laps. Only breakfast was available in the hotel, and then you had to order at a 'desk'. Prices were very expensive. No lunch or evening food is available except by room service. The fitness room is small but adequate. There is a small outside 'Tiki' Bar that was adequate but an air conditioned bar would have been more comfortable. Rooms were large but mine was not vacuumed 2 of the 5 days I stayed there. Additionally, there is no micorwave in the room. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance but overall, I was disappointed with this hotel.

Great Location
Jeanne Aug 12, 2008
The Castle is nice to look at - it looks like a castle and the theme is maintained throughout the hotel. The pool is in the ... center. The restaurants, fitness center and bars are built around the pool. Most of the staff was personable and efficient. The maids were not as efficient. The hotel was full but there were a few days when the cleaning job in our room was less than adequate. The dining options were very good and the hotel is near many good restaurants. The location is very good for anyone who plans to spend time at Sea World, Wet N Wild or the Universal parks.

My review of Doubletree Castle Hotel - Orlando
Ronald Jul 14, 2008
Our room was located over the garbage dumpster and the garbage emptied the dumpster at 0600, waking me and my kids. the ... dumpster should be relocated away from the rooms or serviced later in the day. They only had on computer working in the lobby and all the customers had to wait in line to use the computer. I wanted to upgrade to a suite because the rooms were small but they didn't have suites in this hotel. The breakfast staff was great and breakfast was good. The location was great as well.

The location was great very close to shopping and most of the parks
