It was not good
Just Passing Threw Mar 21, 2009
It was just dirty. I know you get what you pay for, and this is a cheep hotel... but somethings were just plain dangerous or ... unsanitary. First our shower wasn't finished. Second there looked like there was mold on the ceiling. Lastly our room's smoke alarm did not have a battery in it. And to add on to that, everything in the hotel was closed, the pool, the bar, and the restaurant. Thankfully we only had to stay one night.

Pros and Cons
Kenneth Dec 28, 2008
I have stayed at the Memphis Hotel before and enjoy the central location to family and friends. During this stay, I was not ... as please with my stay. The rooms are adequate; but all of the furniture and appliances are outdated. The free in-room internet and cable channels were welcomed additions. The boxspring on my bed was ripped along the side from head to foot. I did not notice this on the first day of my stay due to the side with the rip being near a wall. When I lifted the mattress, I noticed addition linen and how poor the boxspring was. The side entrance, which is secured and supposed to unlock with your room key, was inoperable. One night the door was wide open. Then next night the staff put a dead bolt on it. We had to use the front entrance. The rates were very affordable, but as they say, you get what you pay for.

Awful stay
Julio Dec 1, 2008
The Memphis Inn is a very run down motel! The service was not very good and there were no amenities. The hallways smelled ... like urine and the wall paper was coming off in the bathroom along with the lining of the tub. The carpets throughout the hotel were bubbling up and and I was very uncomfortable with the client tel that was frequenting the Memphis Inn. I felt that it was a waste of money and a horrible experience for me.
