when I first arrived my daughter was waiting for me from another location , she stayed in her car because ther were men out ... there drinking beer and stareing at her , I arrived got out of my car to greet her the men were grumbling something under their breath , we ignored them we checked in our room to find that it had been recently used the beds were messed up , one bed was off its foundation and there was an unmade cot in there the clerk changed our room without a problem when we returned to our car to get our things the men were still out there drinking and were asking us to party ,again we ignored them. Later we went to go into the hot tub it was clean but the clorine was so intense we could not stay in it our skin burned as well as our eyes . The staff was friendly , the lobby was clean but I wont return because the other things made a bad impression.

Jimbo Aug 12, 2009
If I don't feel comfortable walking on the carpet in bare feet I don't care for the room. The carpet was old. We got only ... skimpy towels and only 2 of each bath, hand, washcloths. The TV never got dusted until I did it myself. Ran out of facial tissues twice and not because we used alot but they must have replinished them with only a few. Toilet ran constantly for 7 days. Worst of all for us they provided cable CNN but no FOX cable news.

Too close to highway!
Summer '09 Traveler Aug 11, 2009
General location was ok, but our room faced the highway. Upon check-in they did NOT have the information, although were able ... to get it within a few moments. We needed help with wi-fi and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were good size, just not very clean.

While we stayed at The Capital Plaza Inn & Suites in Harrisburg, we went to Hershey Park and Dutch Wonderland. The hotel was ... small, but nice. We were not very close to the parks as advertised. The hot tub was nice but it was outside. Otherwise, the stay was great!!!!!!!!!!!

It was about a 15 mile drive to Hershey where we were visiting. Not a really convenient location. Breakfast was definitely ... not a deluxe continental breakfast unless you consider carbs deluxe food. The cleanliness in the hotel also left a lot to be desired.

Ladytraveler Jul 29, 2009
There was no remote for the TV when I arrived, but this was quickly remedied. However, the remote worked only sporadically, ... and on two occasions I had to unplug the TV to be able to turn it off. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast area very clean and well stocked, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The attached restaurant was no longer open, but there were many acceptable options close by. Although I made the reservation through the Best Western web site, the hotel said they are no longer affiliated with Best Western so I was not able to get the expected Gold Crown points.

THE COLONIAL DINER WAS NOT FAR AND WAS TASTY, FRIENDLY AND REASONABLY PRICED.
--lldemko, PGH .,PA Jul 29, 2009
The hotel gave us a directory of resturants in the area. The first night we were tired and it was late so we went to Friendly's. The resturant was typical of this chain, but it was not in a great section of town. The next night we drove a bit further to the Texas Roadhouse which was in a much nicer area and was surrounded by other well know chains.
