I very much enjoyed snorkling at the beach, beautiful tropical fish,reefs,etc.. I felt teeing off at the arnold palmer golf ... course was too expensive $180 thay did charge my girlfriend to just ride with me(she did not golf) but it was beautiful. Around the 6th hole it began to rain very hard with very strong winds i was forced to quite,it would have been nice to recieve a rain check from them but it was never offered. The resort itself was very beautiful just very expensive but it was very quite, clean with a great ocean view room just the way i like it. There is also a resort fee of $25 a day that is added to your bill,i was not aware of that it was my first time in hawaii

It is more convenient(Expensive) to eat in the hotel since we are in the country side(North shore) or it is a long drive to eat outside of the hotel. By the way some of the staff are nice and some where not. Also nobody asked if we needed help with our luggage on check in and the lady at the frontdesk made it a point that the hotel will put on hold $1050 for expenses at check out and was notvery nice. The PERFECT place to Relax...

Charlie Jan 23, 2010

Would recommend to a friend!

Incredible staff, unbelievable location, and lots to do. You can get away from it all, and get away from everyone else ... getting away from it all, at Turtle Bay. See the quiet (and beautiful) side of Oahu on the North Shore. Want to check out Honolulu, Waikiki, and Pearl Harbor too? They're still just a short drive away. Be sure to take advantage of the Spa, hiking trails, snorkeling, and helicopter tours on site. The famous surfing beaches of the North Shore are right next door, and the must-see Polynesian Cultural Center is just down the street. The icing on the cake has to be the sincerely friendly and helpful resort staff. Truly the best!

Absolutely beautiful resort, but...

Livie Jan 6, 2010

Would recommend to a friend!

A beautiful resort, but the food at the hotel restaurants was way overpriced and wasn't particularly good. For example, $45 ... each for a mediocre buffet dinner that didn't include coffee. Coffee was $6.50 each. We didn't know this at the time. We sat down and ordered the buffet and when the waiter asked what we would have to drink, we said "coffee" for 4 people. Imagine our surprise when we were handed the bill with an extra $26 for coffee! I don't know why this annoyed me, since I realize that it is an expensive hotel, but it just did.

Turtle Bay is a beautiful resort. It is immaculately kept, the staff is very friendly and courtious. The rooms are exactly as ... shown in their advetisements. The view from our room of the ocean was magnificant, and was unobstructed. There isn't a bad view from any location. Every where you go in Oahu is absolutely beautiful, everyone has to go there at least once in their lifetime.

While I was at Turtle Bay I hiked, walked the beach took a lot of pictures and dined. Turtle Bay offered several shops and ... several resturants. It is a beautiful place to spend a vacation and I will definitely recommend it to my friends.

Nice Hotel But...

ZhiZhi Dec 28, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

Nice enough large room, but poorly furnished for a supposed 4 star hotel. No convenient restaurants near by this resort, and ... menus in the hotel restaurant offer very little choice. Hotel seems to pinch pennies. Lobby plain and ordinary for 4 star hotel. Good housekeeping staff. Very beautiful setting right between two bays.

Great location and unbelivable views

We stayed at turtle bay for our last part of our honeymoon (first part which we spent in Maui). Before we went to Oahu, ... everyone kept saying how commercialized the island was and how there was not that Hawaiian feel. Well, once we arrived at airport and drove to the north shore, you could clearly see the noncity feel. When getting to turtle bay it was confirmed. The staff was kind and down to earth. The rooms are fantastic with balconies overlooking the ocean. With a great location to get to all of the popular and secluded beaches. Also the nearby residential towns are great for catching breafast and lunch. The hotel has dinner places on site which are also worth it.

North Shore storm watching

Would recommend to a friend!

We played golf every second day and enjoyed the proximity of it. Liked the Palmer course the best. Really enjoyed the quiet ... and peacefulness of the resort. Sitting between the stormy waves and the pool was a delight with a book under my nose. I love Hawaii weather - it is warm but not muggy. Wind is just a bonus.

Money savers tip, Short Drive

Meals at Ted's Kitchen near the Banzai beach. Try the crab and bacon sandwich for lunch as you sit among locals and surfers outside.

Dining tip, Short Walk

Highly recommend "Ola" for fresh and innovative seafood dishes and "Lei Lei" for meat selections. Breakfast from the patio of the hotel restaurant accompanied by a great view of the bay.

Dining tip, In Hotel

It is more convenient(Expensive) to eat in the hotel since we are in the country side(North shore) or it is a long drive to eat outside of the hotel. By the way some of the staff are nice and some where not. Also nobody asked if we needed help with our luggage on check in and the lady at the frontdesk made it a point that the hotel will put on hold $1050 for expenses at check out and was notvery nice. Again we where not asked if we needed help with our laggage on checkout either,we had quite a bit...

Dining tip, In Hotel

Make sure you rent a car, if you had to eat at the hotel for all of your meals (nearest outside restaurants are at least a 20 minute drive away), it would be really expensive. No matter where you eat, expect to spend at least $18 a meal per person in the hotel.

eat at the wonderful restraunts in the hotel. they seem more expensive but you actually pay the same as going out somewhere on the island, and you get wonderful food and service. They have wonderful room service also.
