The rooms are as advertised - beach front. Wonderful restaurant, super service. The staff is friendly, ready to get you ... anything you need. It's secure, calm, restful. My 15 year old daughter wants to live at the hotel.

The hotel was right on the beach. During the day we would ride into Charleston which was only about 15 minutes away and went ... sightseeing. We went on a bus tour to see historic downtown Charleston and then the bus took us to Magnolia Plantation. We took a boat ride to see Ft. Sumter. We went to the Aquarium. There is so much to see.

We did our homework and had our bus and boat trips well planned in advance. We even purchased our tickets thru the internet.

Great location, beautiful views, right on the beach. Walking distance to all the restaurants on Folly Beach. The restaurant ... had great selection of food, nice outdoor bar. I'll be back.

First, arrived and Hotel had no parking. Seems everyone going to beach uses the hotel parking. The staff just accepts the ... problem. Had to come back at 9 PM to find a parking place and check in. The room furniture looked like it came from a yard sale. I was not impressed with this hotel and it was not worth the $200 plus a night stay. I will never go back or recommend this dump.

Folly Beach Hotel- Huge Improvement

I had been to this hotel before the remodel and it was average at best. Now the decor and staff exceed your expectations for ... a Holiday Inn - probably should re-brand under an upper tier brand now. Even if you don't get a room take the time to enjoy the bar inside and out of this hotel.

The Holiday Inn staff were extremely nice, helpful and friendly, they made us feel very welcome. The location was great! ... Highly recommend the Lost Dog Cafe and Center Street Kitchen, both within walking distance of the hotel. The renovation the hotel completed appears to have been to the lobby, dining and some other common areas. Our rooms were a little dated and some of the funiture was not in the best condition. We would stay here again - being right on the beach was the best part of our stay!
