Nice hotel with good location
Laura Nov 15, 2009
The hotel was very nice and easy to get to. It was a great location, but having to pay for parking was not great. It costs ... $10 a day to park, and the walk from the parking lot to the hotel can be very far since the entire front of the lot is for valet.

Unfortunately, you can hear your neighbors through the door that connects the rooms together. And watch out for that ... breakfast restaurant next to the lobby, unless you don't mind dropping $50 dollars for some eggs and orange juice! Other than that, the service was excellent and the location is perfect for entertaining yourself and family. Highly recommended and great shuttle services from the hotel to the parks.

Downtown Disney is right across the street and has everything the parks have for souvenirs and such, so don't waste your time in the parks buying trinkets and having to lug them around with you. Do it in the evening while your dining out. The parks will also deliver your purchased items to the hotel for you.

Hotel was in a great location just a short walk to Downtown Disney. Several shuttles left from the Hotel every half hour that ... stopped at all the major parks. Shuttles were pretty easy and convenient. They ran until 1.5 hrs after the parks closed. Service and staff was great. 2 large Pools and a hot tub. Several in-house restaurants, and a great bar. Only negatives were the $10/day internet charge and the $10/day self parking fees

With complimentary bus service to disney and a quick walk to downtown disney, this was a great place to stay with kids. It ... makes it easy to just focus on having fun. While they do charge to park, it's cheaper than paying disney and nice not to have to drive. The room was clean and quiet.

First time staying at a Downtown Disney hotel, and I must say we were very pleasantly surprised. We only stayed one night, ... but were upgraded to a junior suite upon check-in. WOW! The room was huge, very clean, high quality furniture and linens. The restaurants on site seemed great too, even though we didn't get a chance to try them. Not bad, but not really that good either
Ryan the Super Honest Hotel Critic Sep 21, 2009
We booked this hotel because a wedding reception was taking place there. Got it on Orbitz a few weeks in advance for a really ... good price. Finding the hotel was not a problem, as it's on Hotel Plaza Blvd. We checked in, parked ($10 per day, $12 with valet), towed our luggage to our room only to find out that we were given the wrong room and we disturbed some non-english speaking half naked person. So we had to tow all our luggage back to the lobby (the elevators are very fast btw). The front desk clerks were very nice about it, and fixed the mistake, and when I asked for a comp beverage coupon, they only had "buy an entree at our most expensive restaurant - Andiamo, get a free glass of wine" coupons, but were out at the moment. Also, something of note, the front desk clerk told us that all rooms with a king sized bed have a view of the hotel roof and highway, only the double beds get pool views. When we got to our room with a king size bed, the suitcase barely squeezed through the hallway between the wall and the over-sized furniture. The room features were nice, had a desk, enough drawers, mini-bar, flat screen tv, small fridge, coffee-tea maker, etc. The room layout was just wrong. As soon as you open the front door (which opened without incident 1 time out of 3), you are in the bathroom sink area and closet, which is so small and crammed, I'd feel sorry for you if you were a larger person, especially along the waist. That area has a door that leads to the bathroom, which isn't bad. However, two people could not occupy the bathroom sink area at the same time, or get things out of the closet, or go back and forth to the shower, without elbowing the other person in the face. Also, the walls are kind of thin, so loud laughter, tv watching, crying babies, can all be heard from the other rooms or hallway. Lastly, the maid service shortest us one glass, and the hot water is freaking hot, like third degree burn hot! Be careful! Next, the wireless internet isn't free, $10 for 24 hours, and it's not free in the lobby either. There is only one bar in the lobby which gets really packed at night, but that can be good or bad. There is a Beni-Hana's on site, as well as some other restaurants and cafes. The pool area is nice and spacious, and the fitness center which overlooks the pool patio is free. The shuttle buses which get you to the disney transportation center do so in a timely manner (25min from hotel to center, 10min from center to magic kingdom via monorail, about 20min via water ferry), and saves you the $12 for the parking fee, but getting back is a pain in the rear. The hotel says pickups are every 30min, but they aren't on any particular timetable. We must have just missed the return bus, waited the full 30min for the next one with a large crowd of people gathering, and with a full bus, went to epcot first to pick up nobody, then went to our respective hotels, hilton being the first one. Our friends had a similar experience. It took us about 1hr15min to get back, it took them 1hr30min. Just something to think about if you're on a tight schedule, may be worth it to bring the car, as the parking pass is for the day, and you can relocate to another disney park if you like at no extra charge. In closing, nothing really wowed me here. I've stayed at hotels with much nicer rooms, with full kitchens, and plenty of space, for about the same price and within a few miles of this hotel, but no on site restaurants or lobby bar. As for location, it's not bad at all. If you have a car, there are plenty of other restaurants and things to do just down the street on 535, or just off of I4 and Int'l Drive. If you don't have a car, a taxi ride will do. If you aren't going to spend a lot of time in the room, or aren't really fat, or don't have a party of 3+, or don't have large suitcases then the rooms may not bother you too much, but that's probably why the lobby is so busy all of the time. I gave 3 stars because it is what it is, just ...

Great honeymoon locatioin
Brenda Sep 8, 2009
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Hilton after I'd searched for a couple months to fine a nice, affordable ... location. It was top notch! The staff were GREAT! I just mentioned to one of the luggage carriers that we were just married and to our surprise, we returned to our room to a nice bottle of "chilled" champagne and a very nice note of congratulations. NICE TOUCH! We had one issue with not being able to access in room internet but the staff were very polite and prompt trying to figure out the problem. The front desk promptly returned the cash we paid up front and we simply used their onsite business center which was just as convenient. The onsite car rental agency was convenient as well and they were very accommodating. Having the car rental agency as was the car rental agency. Even the cleaning staff were very friendly. Landscaping was just gorgeous. The shuttles were on time every time. We could see Downtown Disney entrance from our room and could see the fireworks from Disney each night. I was well pleased with my choice for a honeymoon hotel. I would recommend to anyone and would stay there again.

Great location and extra magic hours
Anonymous Sep 4, 2009
We chose this hotel because it is close to Disney World and has access to the extra magic hour. The shuttle bus to Disney ... theme parks runs every half an hour, except there are only two shuttle buses (9:15 and 10:15) to both water parks - the pickup from water park is 4:15/5:15. But you can walk to downtown Disney (~ 5 minutes) to take Disney buses to go to the water parks. The hotel is a bit old and is showing its age. As we checked in, we wanted to get a room with king bed, but we were told that most of the levels (including executive level) are under renovation so they do not have any available king room. But we didn't hear any renovation noise during our stay. As we settled in our room, we found out that the wall is quite thin as we can easily hear people talking in the next room or the showering. We had some problems with our toilet during our first night, but it was resolved quickly by front desk and housekeeping department. The employees are quite friendly and try to be as helpful as possible. Overall, it is a great stay at a good price.
