A Very Nice Hotel

The staff is always polite and professional. We arrived two hours early and the staff had a room ready for us. Our son ... visited us during our stay and was treated nice as well. He said he liked the hotel also. I asked for extra blankets and pillows and this was not a problem. We stayed in December last year and will be back again. The location is great and the price is very reasonable.

Our experience was overall very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The one reason we chose this particular ... hotel was for the heated pool, but with the air conditioners running in an enclosed area the pool water was by no means "heated", that was kind of disappointing. Also, the room was never vacuumed the five days of our stay, the housekeeping staff left a little to be desired. The outside area was nice and there were several very attractive areas right up from the hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend this particular hotel to anyone that is interested in visiting Virginia Beach.

My husband & I got to the hotel @ 10:00 am. Check in wasn't until 4 pm, but when I went to inquire about parking before check ... in, they offered to check me in early, which was great after a 6 hour drive. The room didn't smell as fresh as I would've liked, but it was clean & comfortable. For dinner that night, we tried Neptune's which is located right in the hotel. We tried the seafood buffet and were disappointed. The lobster was rubbery, and there wasn't that much of a selection of seafood. But since there are so many othere places to eat, we weren't upset. Catch 31 is right next door and the food there was phenomenal. We went there twice! For the price of the hotel room and great location, it was well worth it.

For spending the week on the beach it is fine. The hotel and rooms were clean, but there are very few room amenities. For ... example, styro-foam cups for coffee, only three dresser drawers and ten hangers, and the television only had access to 10 stations - the only national news was CNN's Headline News. Having said that the hotel staff was VERY friendly and the location is great - almost directly in the center of the boardwalk.

Great location for a vacation

Great location! One block from the 30th street amphitheatre. Bike rental places everywhere, great fun, hard to get around ... the surreys at times though on the bike path. The shuttle runs up and down Atlantic and is cheap to use to get down to Rudee Inlet to the fishing and parasailing. It doesn't start until 8am so if you fish early, you have to walk to the inlet (about 2 miles). Fantastic 4th of July show. My family had one of our best vacations ever!!

Walk to the market to get snacks and sandwich stuff and keep in the fridge in the room. This saves a lot of money!

I loved the location of the hotel and the fact thereis a restaurant in it. I travelled with a 2 years old and could leave my ... stuff on the beach, bring my daugther to the hotel, feed and bath her while watching my stuff on the sand, and come back to the beach. We really had a good time!

we spent a lot of time laying out in the sun.If they had an outdoor pool it would be a lot better.Noone wants to swim indoors ... when its beautiful outside. It was a nice trip, and the price that orbitz got us can't be beat.

They were ready for us when we arrived. We did not have any problems. The AC was very cold. The small fridge was nice and ... cold. This place is older but they keep it clean. It is next to the Hilton and the main stage area and playground are right there. No Microwaves in the rooms. Balcony is nice and sturdy. There are three lifts so no waiting around. There is a nice indoor pool with a shower area. We booked on Orbitz and had NO problems. If you are very picky and tend to look for things to be wrong and then get all up tight about it then shell out another grand and go next door to the Hilton.

The hotel was great, excellent view and nice rooms, the bathroom is my only complaint- basically you could not get a ... consistent temperature water so you ended up taking a luke warm shower and the toilet was so close to the counter that you bumped your arm(and i am not a large person) The restaurant in the hotel has great food.

If it rains, go to the aquarium. It's not a far drive. Since my husband and I didn't rent a car, we rode the bus, which was also very easy.

The Virginia Aquarium had been written up wonderfully online but when we got there we were greatly disappointed! Not worth the money at all!! With the hotel on the boardwalk we thought we would try one of those 4 person bikes for $25 for two hours and we got one that didn't work right and they refused to give us our money back, so be wary!
