Trip to Memphis

We just wanted to get away for 2 days and were able to do that at the Ramada. We did whatever we wanted whenever we wanted, ... even if that was nothing. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to get to in the neighborhood, including downtown Memphis. The room was clean, the breakfast was good, and we were very comfortable. We would definitely go there again.

The dueling pianos at Silky O'Sullivan's (on Beale Street)were great, but don't go till after 9pm. The singing before then is not good.

Attended a conference in Memphis at Fed Ex Forum - 7 miles from hotel and it was conveniently located to I-40 and I-55 ...

Good price for the holiday week-end

Overall the hotel was fine. I did have to kill two spiders in the bathroom the first day and there was a long black hair on ... the shower wall. My sons enjoyed the pool. The location is great for going into Memphis, but not having to pay the higher price of the city. I would consider this hotel again.

Was given a room with broken air conditioner for staters. The front desk persons were unwilling to assist me in a room change ... until they acknowledged that my air conditioner was broke! I sweated and hated to return to the hotel. I told front desk about this problem my second day there; she attempted to insult my intelligence by rationalizing why the air conditioner was inoperatable! They waited until the day before check-out to offer me another room!

If only it was easier to find

We had to call for directions from the freeway after an hour trying to find - but when we got there, the staff were friendly, ... the room great - the beds were fantastic! What a way to end a long grueling trip. Wish I had had time to enjoy the rest of the facilities.
